There is a list of all the essential oils in the box. The card states if the essential oil is pregnancy safe, safe for kids, dog-safe, or cat safe.

Recipes

There are six different recipes in the box. The bonus box gives you almost everything you need to complete each one. I had to get some containers for the recipes and a cup of sugar, but that was it.

Camphor

Camphor

Camphor supports respiration, soothes and repels insects. The essential oil is made of Cinnamomum camphora. It's safe for kids ten and up, dog safe, but not pregnancy-safe or cat safe.

Thyme

Thyme smells just like the plant and is made of Thymus vulgaris. It originates from Span and works to warm, aid digestion, soothes, and support immunity. It's back-to-school time, so I am excited about the immunity support. It's safe for kids ten and up, but not dog/cat safe or pregnancy safe.

Grapefruit

Grapefruit

Grapefruit is made of citrus paradise and has a sweet, citrusy, and fresh scent. It's a great scent to smell in the morning because it uplifts, energizes, stimulates, cleans, and is great for skin care. It's safe for kids two and up, cats but not safe for pregnancy or dogs.

Bug Fighter

Bug Fighter

Bug Off combines patchouli, cedarwood, and lemongrass essential oils. The combination of these essential oils helps repel insects. It's safe for children ten and up, dog safe, but not pregnancy or cat safe.

The six recipes in the box included recipes for three candles, a diffuser blend, a lotion bar, and a roll-on blend. I only made one of the three candles because I had only one extra jar.

Bug Off Lotion Bar

Bug Off Lotion Bar

I made my lotion bars in silicone cupcake holders. Instead of making one large bar, I made two smaller ones so my oldest could have one for his camping supplies. My oldest hates using bug spray because of how it leaves his skin feeling, so I am hoping he will like these more.

Tiki Torch Roll On Blend

Tiki Torch Roll On Blend

The roll-on blend combines Bug Fighter, Grapefruit, Camphor, and fractionated coconut oil. This blend will last for a year, and it smells great.

Camp Out Candle

Camp Out Candle

You do need to provide your own containers to make the candles, and I only had one separate jar, so I made the Camp Out candle. I was surprised this used Camphor and Grapefruit, not the Bug Off Blend. The candle smells good, but it's a bit on the small side.

Final Thought: I enjoyed making recipes with this month's box. Our family loves camping, so I was glad to see recipes that involve the outdoors.
