Naked Wines August 2025 Review + $100 Voucher

Naked Wines is a wine company where you select the wines you want; it's not a wine subscription.
They work with independent winemakers, so you won't find these wines in stores. You pay $40/month, and it will go into your Naked Wines piggy bank to spend on wine whenever you want. Paying members are referred to as “Angels”. As a member of Naked Wines, you can save up to 60% on all your orders, and you will get samples of wine in your order.
Angels get:
- Exclusive and delicious wines made by award-winning winemakers
- Angel-only prices (up to 60% less than what you pay)
- A gift bottle of Angel-funded wine each month that they order a case
- Access to Angel-only wines, Angel-only groups, and more
- Invites to Angel-only tastings to meet the winemakers
- An Angel-only priority hotline to help with anything at all
- A warm, fuzzy feeling from changing the lives of cool, indie winemakers
As a member, you have access to a “Naked Me” tab, where you can rate all your wines, receive recommendations, and update your details. If you don't like a wine, please let them know, and they will credit your account so that you can select a new one.

Everything shipped in a tall brown box.

First Look

My information sheet had a list of all the wines in the box, along with a coupon.

David Akiyoshi Lodi Chardonnay 2023 Angel Price $9.99

This is a rich and creamy white with notes of candied citrus and baked apple. It goes well with fettuccine Alfredo and other pasta dishes. This also pairs well with fresh cheeses and a nice, crusty baguette. The winemaker used grapes from local vineyards to get the best flavor.
Mike Patterson Marlborough Pino Gris 2023 Angel Price $15.00

It's described that this Pino Gris has flavors of juicy citrus and ripe peach that give a mouthwatering finish. The Pino Gris comes from low-yielding vines in New Zealand’s famed Marlborough region. This pairs well with fresh shellfish, abalone, and anything from the ocean. You can enjoy this now through 2026.
Scott Peterson Rumpus Syrah 2021 Angel Price $9.99

This silky-smooth red has flavors of blueberry and brambly blackberry. Scott harvested Syrah from idyllic, sun-drenched vineyards across California. This bottle will last 5 years and pairs well with grilled cheese sandwiches. For the best taste, open this and let it sit for 30 minutes before you drink it.
Scott Kelley Oregon Pino Noir 2022 Angel Price $18.99

French Oak barrels are filled with juicy, ripe, and rich fruit (like raspberries and cherries) and the hum of vanilla and baking spice in the Pacific Northwest. This wine comes from dry-farmed vineyards in the Umpqua Valley. This can be enjoyed now for up to 5 years. Before you drink it, leave it open for about 15 minutes. Pair this with grilled pork tenderloin, bacon-wrapped scallops, and cedar-planked salmon.
Patrice Grasset Loire Valley Chenin Blanc 2024 Angel Price $14.99

This Chenin has notes of crisp apple, pear, peach, and fresh lemon and was made in the Vouvray region. You can enjoy this now, but it will age for four years. Serve this chilled with Asian-inspired dishes and vegetarian delights. It's also delicious with marinated pork chops, fresh salads, and soft cheeses like Brie and Camembert.
F. Stephen Miller Black Label California Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 Angel Price $14.99

This Cabernet has notes of ripe black cherry flavors and velvety richness. The ingredients were carefully sourced fruit from California’s big red country, Lodi, with grapes from his own estate in the Sierra Foothills. You can keep this around to enjoy now or let it age a bit. Please let it sit 30-45 mins to let it breathe before enjoying. You can pair this with a number of foods, even a steak.

Final Thought: This was a great box, full of a variety of wines. I selected a mix of red and white, but you can customize your box anyway you wish. If you want to try Naked Wines, use this link to get a $100 voucher to use on your first purchase.
