There was a little sheet about information on hummingbirds.

The project for this month was “DIY Hummingbird Perch”.

Information Guide

The information sheet listed detailed instructions for completing the project.

The back gave more pictures on how to complete the project.

Hippie Hobby Materials

The box came with a branch, copper wire, grapevine heart, twigs, holly berries, flowers, leaves, a water tube and sugar.

Ruler

There was also a ruler, which I almost threw away, as it was hiding in the packing material.

The first step was to wrap wire around three sections of the branches to hold everything together. The picture in the information sheet showed a branch made of sticks. This one was much bigger, so we had to use more wire than what the directions indicated.

Securing the stick to the branch also required more wire than was stated in the instructions.

This is a the finished project.  I was pretty disappointed with this project. Because the branch was much bigger than what the picture showed, we had to use more wire and ended up running out.  The project ended up falling apart shortly after taking the picture, because we didn't have enough wire.

Final Thought: As stated above, I was pretty disappointed with this month's box.  I wish there was more wire included in the box, so the project would've been more secure.  If you want to subscribe, you can save $7.00 on your 1st box, just use this link with the coupon BOXMOM7.
