First Look

Gather Information Card

Every box contains an information card, which has descriptions of the items and who makes them.
Handwoven Bread Bowl

Handwoven Bread Bowl, Mexico $22.00 I love baskets and find myself buying them frequently when I find artisan made ones.  This basket was handwoven in Mexico by Adolfo.  The basket is called the Nido basket, which is a harder version basket to make, due to the rounded walls.  This basket is at the center of our table now, currently holding napkins.

Neem Wood Salad Grabbers

Neem Wood Salad Grabbers, India $15.00 We have received Neem wooden item in past boxes and I love the smooth, yet sturdy wood they are crafted from. These salad grabbers by artisans working for The Village Experience.  This organization helps women gain an income while providing for their family.

Recycled Cotton Coasters

Recycled Cotton Coasters, India $20.00 The paper/cotton on these coasters is made from recycled textile remnants through Craft Boat.  There are 6 coaster in the box in all, perfect for a party.

Palm Leaf Placemats

Palm Leaf Placemats (set of two), Mexico $12.00 Instead of the Palm Leaf Basket, subscribers can choose these placemats.  Each one was handwoven by Don Vulfrano Eustaquio Martinez Ramirez, who has been weaving for 58 years.  I love each of these and would love to have two more.
