Inside, there was a color by letter and connect the dots activity. Halloween Surprise by Corinne Demas

Halloween Surprise by Corinne Demas (Hardcover) $12.99  This book is about Lily, who wants to make her own costume for Halloween, but doesn't know what to make.  She goes through many different ideas before deciding what to be.  I love that this book encourages creativity and making your own costume.

I love the illustrations and wish I had some beautiful fall treats where I live.

On a Windy Night by Nancy Raines Day

On a Windy Night by Nancy Raines Day (Hardcover) $15.12 This story is about a boy walking home on Halloween night.  He hears “Cracklety-clack, bones in a sack. They could be yours—if you look back.”.  The boy starts rushing home and finally realizes the source of the sound.

The pictures depict a spooky scene, but it wasn't too spooky for my kids.

Sipping Spiders Through a Straw: Campfire Songs for Monsters by Kelly Dipucchio

Sipping Spiders Through a Straw: Campfire Songs for Monsters by Kelly Dipucchio (Hardcover) $15.99 This book was a family favorite.  The book was filled with various spooky/Halloween songs, all the tune of your favorite childhood songs.

Home of the Strange is sung to the tune of Home on the Range.  My 4 year old loves singing, so he enjoyed the book the most.

Little Goblins Ten Hardcover by Pamela Jane

Little Goblins Ten Hardcover by Pamela Jane $14.49 This story is a twist on the nursery rhyme, “Over in the Meadow”.  My kids favorite part was “Moan!” said the mother; “We moan,” said the five.  So they moan and they groaned where the shadows come alive.

The illustrations remind me of the book Where the Wild Things Are.  My kids thought this was a fun book.

Final Thought This box had a total value of $58.59.  This is a great book subscription and my family loved the children's books.  Four hard cover books for $10.00 is a great deal.  Remember, there are other subscriptions as well, if you are not interested in children's books.  To subscribe, use this link with the code BoxMOM15 to save 15% on your subscription.  Your first month will be $8.49, plus the $5 shipping charge.
