The link jus takes you to a regular subsciption, not a free box.

  2. Subscription Box Mom, September 9, 2015:

If you hit subscribe, it takes you to the main page and the offer is at the top of the page.

World class chefs? Homemade and handcrafted? To throw some cheese crackers and corn nuts in a box next to day-old donuts? This looks like a major scam to me. $32.95/month? Great there is a completely free box offer…they must already be banking on charging you for the next month before you can even cancel. Even so, they will still be 25 dollars ahead!

I can’t wait to see a review of this disaster. Will anyone sign up for this?

  4. Subscription Box Mom, September 9, 2015:

I signed up with a prepaid card, so I will have a review.

That was the vibe I got from the photos and all too cutesy “qualifications” on the about us section. I had a weird feeling when the “chef” isn’t even mentioning cooking background!

Do a simple google search of one of their owners Robert Defibaugh. The second result I got was the link to an Arizona court case where he basically scammed homeless people under the guise of getting them construction jobs. I double checked his facebook photo with that on the website, yep, its the same guy. Class act right there.

I’m pretty sure this is a scam.

    Awful 🙁

Hi, I hate that I caught this comment so late.

We hadn’t shipped out a box yet, so during that photo shoot we used different colorful items.

We gave out boxes completely free because we were a new, untested, and un-established business. Word of mouth marketing is what we were banking on, not re-charging customers.

It makes me sad that you’d post this without giving us a chance. We use different chefs every month, so doing a highlight on our “about” page hardly seemed acceptable.

Regardless, I hope you do give us a shot in the future, that way your post will either have some basis, or be deleted due to an incorrect assumption.

I just received my 2nd box- it would have just been 1 however they refused to let me cancel after I received the 1st one. This “subscription” is HORRIBLE. It was literally like I went to a PTA bake sale, bought the 75% off snacks after the same, then threw in a box. Except, the PTA bakers generally at least tell you what is in the ‘snack’.

This months box did have 1 item I opened and liked, a bag of store bought cookies. Otherwise everything went in the trash because I refuse to eat something that 1. I have no idea what the hell is in it and 2. who even made it.

    Stay FAR away.

    Yuck! Thanks for the information!

I just got charged 200$ for shipping and have messaged called and emailed this company multiple times to try and cancel and no one has gotten back to me.
I am afraid this is a scam… does this company even exist anymore? I can’t find any thing online anywhere. .
