POPSUGAR May 2015 Must Have Box Review
When I saw the May 2015 Popsugar spoilers, I wasn't too thrilled, but I always try to reserve my feelings until I see the box in person. Popsugar is one of my favorite boxes and I have personally be subscribing for about 2 years. POPSUGAR is $39.95/month and filled with all kinds of fun “must have” items. You get items like makeup, snacks, items for your home, jewelry and more!
Popsugar ships by USPS and arrives around the middle of the month.
First Look
The May box was all about “Colorful, California Sun, Glowing Skin, and Fresh Flowers”.
Inside the information card, is a list and pictures of everything in the box.
Sisters of Los Angeles Surf Sand Love Beach Towel $40.00: This towel measures 35″x60″ and is made of 100% cotton. It an okay towel, but $40.00 for a beach towel? I have a monogrammed Disney Beach towel that feels the same quality and it was under $20.00. This price seems way too high for something I will sit on in the sand.
Hammond's Candies McCraw's Flat Taffy $1.00 This taffy is made with no artificial colors or flavors. My husband loves taffy, so I will give this to him. I am personally not a fan of taffy.
Kitsch Y-Shaped Necklace $32.00 Y necklaces were popular when I was in high school, so I am glad to see them come back in style. I love silver, so this piece gets an A from me.
Middle Kingdom Mini Plum Vase in Coral Red $20.00 This is much smaller than I imaged from spoilers. This has a small opening, so this will only hold 2-3 flowers. While is it cute, I wish it had a wider opening.
Sage + Row Bare Shave Cream $17.00 This shaving cream is certified organic and made with shea butter, lavender and other ingredients to leave your skin feeling soft. I am excited to use this, I even like the smell.
Batiste Dry Shampoo $4.00: This dry shampoo is cherry scented and adds body and texture to your hair. I personally don't like dry shampoo, so this will be gifted or traded.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $114.00, which honestly surprised me. I didn't love this box. The necklace and the shaving cream were my favorite things in the box. The rest of the items, just weren't really my taste. I really don't understand the $40.00 beach towel. While I didn't love the box, the necklace and shaving cream are worth more than I paid, so it's okay. I am hoping June is fabulous. You can see the June spoilers (what we have so far) HERE.
