Julep Maven for May 2014 Collection was called the The Fresh Twist Collection. If you are interested in trying Julep, you can click HERE and use the code FREEBOX to get a starter box for $2.99. Note: Julep is $19.99 a month and each month you pick between 5 style profiles, to pick the box you want. If you sign up now, you will only get to skip once every 6 months.
The Details:
Cost: For new Mavens, There are two subscription tiers: My Maven and Maven Luxe.
With My Maven, you’ll get $40+ worth of polish & product for $24.99/month, or $19.99/month with a three-month prepaid subscription. Each monthly box is completely customizable.
With Maven Luxe, you’ll get $60+ worth of prestige products for $39.99/month, or $34.99/month with a three-month prepaid subscription. Each monthly box is completely customizable.
What's in the box? After your Welcome Box, the contents of your monthly box will depend on your subscription tier.
Each My Maven Box includes over $40 worth of limited-run nail color and/or innovative beauty products. We curate five new boxes every month, one for each Style Profile. If you have a fully customizable subscription, you can personalize your box as much (or as little) as you like.
Note: If you do not have a customizable subscription (i.e. if you signed up for the program before 4/29/14 and have not switched tiers), you’ll still have the option to preview all boxes and try a new Style Profile.
Each Maven Luxe Box includes over $60 worth of beauty products. We curate one Maven Luxe Box per month, and all Maven Luxe subscribers have the option to customize.
All My Maven and Maven Luxe subscribers have the option to upgrade and/or add on to their boxes every month.
Can I skip? You’ll earn a skip option every six months, allowing you to skip up to two boxes per year. Log into your account during the Monthly Maven Reveal (20th-24th of every month) to apply the option.
If you do not have a skip option available, but extenuating circumstances prevent you from taking your box this month, please contact our Maven Experience Team at 877-651-3292 or [email protected] and we’ll do our absolute best to help you out.
*Mavens who joined before December 19, 2013 are “grandmothered†into their original terms, with no changes to their skip options
When am I charged? Your card will charged when you order your Welcome Box. If you sign up before the 19th of the month, you will be charged again on the 27th for the next month's box. If you sign up on or after the 19th of the month, you will be charged again on the 27th of the following month.
When will my box ship? When you first become a Maven, we'll send out your Welcome Box as soon as your account is processed. Monthly Maven Boxes start shipping on the 27th of each month. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for your box to arrive. Please note: if your shipping address is outside of the continental United States, your box may take longer to arrive.
I have not upgraded my membership, so I have the option to pick which box I want. I picked the Classic with a Twist box, which included the new plie wand. I was excited to check out these goodies.
Julep included coupons in the box. OILPERK gets you a free Bare Face Cleansing Oil with a $25.00 purchase. You can also save 25% on Billiance Gycolic Hand Scrub with the code Brilliant25. There is always a quote in the box “The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good on you” -coco chanel.
Julep included a full brochure on how to use the plie wand and the new add on tools.
I added on the precision tools this month, to go along with the plie wand. The tools were the dotting tool and a striping tool. I have always wanted to try nail art, so I was excited to try the tools.
Maddy – Classic with a Twist
Maddy – Classic with a Twist- This is a raspberry sorbet shimmer. I love this shade, and it was the first one I tried.
Ramona – Classic with a Twist
Ramona РClassic with a Twist- This is a muted lavender rose cr̬me. This is not my favorite color but I think I am going to use it as an accent color.
Plie Wand
The plie wand! I had read several reviews about it being difficult to use, so I was a bit leery. It's actually pretty nice. I am not sure it was easier than my normal way, but it did work. I thought it seemed easier to hold the wand.
FInal Thought: I really liked this month. I love Maddy and the plie wand was fun to try. Julep is a great subscription box. You can earn jules (points) by getting a monthly box and referring people to Julep. Once you get 2,000 points, you get a free box. You get 1,000 jules per friend you refer. I love Julep polish.
