Loot Crate is the monthly gear and swag club for those that live and embrace the geek and gaming lifestyle. Loot Crate is a product discovery box, connecting subscribers, known as Looters, with the best new and emerging companies producing gear, snacks, toys, hardware, art, and other goodies for the geek and gaming market. Each month, Loot Crate handpicks 6-8 new items to include in the box, which are kept secret until the boxes are delivered!  I have been looking for a new subscription box for my husband, and I decided to give Loot Crate a try.  C loves gaming, and so I was hoping this box would be a great fit.

Loot Crate February 2014 Subscription Box Review

Loot Crate ships by USPS and comes in a black box

First Look

First Look

The first thing I noticed in the box was the magazine.  Every month, Loot Crate sends a magazine.  On the inside of the box, there are tips for an unboxing.  Every month, someone is chosen for their unboxings, and they win a MEGA CRATE.

Loot Crate Magazine

Loot Crate Magazine

Loot Crate includes a magazine in every box.  There are several articles about the brands and companies included in the box.  In the back, there is full page descriptions and picture of every item in the box.  The theme for this month was Warriors.

Dunny Side Show

Dunny Side Show

Dunny Side Show Collectible: Pink Observation Drone Mk IV: The Dunny 2013 Side Show series is made up of 20 designs across 14 artists (EACH SOLD SEPARATELY). Each Dunny is about 3″ tall.  I am not sure what the Dunny Side Show is, other than bunny shaped blind box figures.  I looked this up on Amazon and this particular one was said to be rare and selling for $99.99!!

Bravest Warriors

Bravest Warriors

Bravest Warriors is a cartoon show, produced by Frederator.  Loot Crate included a Bow Tie, which is really interesting.  My husband will never wear it, but perhaps my son will play dress up with it.  There was also a card with a code to down load a digital comic book and a Bravest Warriors sticker.

Bacon Valentine

Bacon Valentine

Bacon Valentine;  This greeting card is by OpenMe,com.  The inside of the card says I love you more than Bacon.  I wish this box would have arrived before Valentine's Day.  I will probably take this and give it to my husband for our anniversary or Valentine's Day.  I actually love bacon more than he does.

GPS Cinch Bag

GPS Cinch Bag

GPS Cinch Bag: This bag was made by Frederator and Loot Crate Labs.  I like these kinds of bags, because they are perfect for holding your gear to take to races (running).  My husband and I will use this for sure.

Loot Crate Button

Loot Crate Button: Loot Crate included a button for this month's February 2014 Warrior box.

Alpha Battle T-Shirt

Alpha Battle T-Shirt

Alpha Battle T-Shirt:  I saved the best for last.  Loot Crate doesn't always include t-shirts, but I am glad there was one this month.  The shirt has letters and characters from all kinds of games.  I recognized Frogger, TETRUS, and Donkey Kong.  My husband knew many more.  This t-shirt was worth the price of the box.

Final Thought:  My husband really liked this box.  He said this was his favorite box, that he was ever received.  We are continuing our subscription and my husband is looking forward to next month.  My husband's favorite item was the t-shirt.  My favorite item was the Dunny Side Show character.  It is now my mission to sell this thing for $100.00.  I doubt that will happen, but it's fun to think about.  This would be a great box for any gamer/geek in your life.  To sign up for Loot Crate, click HERE and use the code MARCHLOOT to save $3.00.
