Home Made Luxe DIY Monstera Clay Bowls Review

Home Made Luxe ships in very cute boxes.

First Look

All the items were wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a shiny sticker.

I received a door hanger so you can have privacy while you are crafting.

Information was sent about the owner of Home Made Luxe, Keitha Moseley-Dendy. Lia Griffith is the featured maker of the month, who designed this month's craft.

Monstera Clay Bowls

The craft of the month is “Monstera Clay Bowls”.

The booklet has full colored pictures of how to complete the craft. You can also view a video for further information.

The template has two patterns, so you can make two different bowls.

Tools

Tools You don't need many tools to complete the craft, and all the tools are included. You get  X-Acto Knife, gold paint pen, foam brush, and a detail brush. I like getting tools in my box that I can use again for a future craft.

Home Made Luxe sent a huge block of air dry clay. You will have more than enough to make several more projects.

They sent some green paint for the leaves and some sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.

The first step was to roll out the clay to 3-5 cms.

You lay the template over the clay, then use the x-acto knife to cut out the leaf. Some of the smaller areas were a bit tricky to cut out.

Once everything is cut out, you turn them over a bowl to dry for 24 hours. If they aren't dry in 24 hours, you can bake them in the oven for 15 mins at 200 degrees. Once dry, you can paint and decorate them! I loved how my bowls turned out!

Final Thought: I had a great time making the Monstera Clay Bowls. I want to use the remaining clay to make bowls out of the outline of my children's hands. I also had some tools I could use again for future projects. I like that everything is sent to me and I don't have to break the bank trying to buy everything at my local craft store, where I will end up buy one or two items, not on my list. Use the coupon EPICSALE to get your 1st box 50% off.
