First Look

GlobeIn May 2019 Premium Artisan Box Review

Every box comes with an information guide. They have changed the information guide to a larger format with full-color pictures. You receive detailed information about every item in the box, along with information about the artisans who make the items. The back of the book has a recipe for strawberry balsamic goat's milk frozen yogurt and pina colada ice cream.

Ice Cream Sundae Glasses,  Mexico $32.00 I love hand blown glass, which is one of the reasons I love GlobeIn. Tonalá is the center of glassmaking. Cristaluc helps manage over 40 artisans in glassblowing, as well as providing them a steady income. These sundae glasses are made of recycled handblown glass. You can use these for ice cream. floats and other gold treats. You shouldn't use them for hot liquids though, and be sure to hand wash them.

Eggplant and Cyan Small Toppings Bowls

Eggplant and Cyan Small Toppings Bowls

Eggplant and Cyan Small Toppings Bowls, Morocco $36.00 These bowls are my favorite pieces in the box. They measure 4.5″ by 4.5″ and are perfect for toppings for your sundaes. The pottery pieces are made at Pottery Serghini, which is a pottery shop that has been crafting pottery since 1830. The pattern on the inside of the bowls reminds me of a tick tac toe board. I might grab these X's and O's gummies from Trader Joes and play with my kids.

Copper Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop

Copper Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop

Copper Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop, India $18.00 I was surprised with the weight of this ice cream scoop. It's made of stainless steel and won't break when you have that particularly frozen ice cream. The spoon is made through Noah's Ark, which is an organization that provides their artisans with health care, education and a place to sell their goods.

Copper Stainless Steel Straws (Set of 2), India $12.00 So many parts of the country have banned plastic straws, I am glad to receive some metal ones. These have a bend to them, so it's easy to drink with them. The straws are 8″ long and made of stainless steel. Be sure to hand wash these straws as well. They work nicely with the glass sundae glasses or keep them with you when you go to Disney World!

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $98.00. I don't eat too much ice cream, but I absolutely loved this month's box. The ceramic bowls are my favorite pieces, along with the blown glass sundae glasses. This is a great subscription if you want an artisan subscription box.
