April 2019 Mac & Mia Review

April 2019 Mac & Mia Review

Mac & Mia is cute clothing on-demand service, just for kids.  Similar to Stitch Fix, you pay $20.00 and fill out a profile about your preferences.  You will be assigned a stylist who you can give more information to.  Sizes run from newborn to age 6 (newborn to 6T).  You can take up to 5 days to make your choices before sending back your clothing in a prepaid envelope.  Clothing runs around $35.00/piece, while accessories run around $12.00.  If you keep 2 or more items, you $20.00 styling fee will be applied to the total.  If you keep your entire box, you will get 15% off.

I really hate taking my kids clothing shopping and I am often busy to shop online, so I was excited to get another box.  For my review, I filled out a profile for my 7 year old.

Mac & Mia ships in a pretty white box with little rainbow dots all over.

First Look

April 2019 Mac & Mia Review

The box came with a return slip and bag for any clothes you don't want. Just check out on your online account, put the clothes in the bag and drop it at any at UPS location. Each box also comes with a booklet with all the items in the box. My kids always enjoy getting new stickers in the box.

Inside, there is a note from your stylist. There is a list of the clothes in the box, along with your purchase price. If you keep everything in the box, you get a 15% discount on your whole box.

Teeny Tiny Optics - Luke Sunglasses

Teeny Tiny Optics – Luke Sunglasses $16.00 My youngest has been wanting a new pair of sunglasses for a few weeks now. As soon as he saw these sunglasses, he claimed them. The plastic sleeve they came in also doubles as the case for storage.

Mayoral Long Sleeve Jacquard Shirt

Mayoral Long Sleeve Jacquard Shirt $36.00 I asked for a nice dress shirt that could be worn for Easter or special events. This is a long sleeve shirt, but it's a lighter fabric and has green, blue and yellow stitched dots.

Mayoral - Twill Basic Chinos

Mayoral – Twill Basic Chinos $32.00 My son wears blue uniform pants to school, but I like having a nice brand new pair for special events. These pants have a slim fit and an adjustable waist. They also go great with the long sleeve shirt.

Bitz Kids - Bulldog Tee

Bitz Kids – Bulldog Tee $35.00 One of the main requests I have for this box is comfortable clothes. My son only wants to wear soft fabrics that won't irritate his skin. This yellow shirt is so soft and features a bulldog surfing the waves.

Joah Love - Ziggy Party Tee

Joah Love – Ziggy Party Tee $37.00 My oldest son received the same shirt. I am one of those weird parents that love it when my kids match. The grey shirt is comfortable and has black geometric shapes.

Retro Brand - High Fives Good Vibes Tee

Retro Brand – High Fives Good Vibes Tee $26.00 This soft red tee says “high fives and good vibes” on the front. This has a wider neck hole, which my son likes. This was easy to put on and it's comfortable.

Egg Baby - Hugh Active Tee

Egg Baby – Hugh Active Tee $31.00 This is another dog tee. This one has a French Bulldog wearing bright colored sunglasses. Egg Baby is one of our favorite brands.

Appaman - Camp Shorts

Appaman – Camp Shorts $33.00 I love these shorts, but unfortunately they were too big. They have a drawstring, but it doesn't tighten the shorts. I love the smiling fries.

Egg Baby - Damian Graphic Tee

Egg Baby – Damian Graphic Tee $31.00 This tee shirt reminds me of MC Hammer. I love this shirt and my son does too.

Chaser - Trouble Trriblend Jersey Tee

Chaser – Trouble Trriblend Jersey Tee $33.00 Sometimes a little trouble can be fun. This shirt doesn't have a tag in the shirt, so it won't scratch the back of my son's neck.

Andy and Evan - Fun Cactus Trunks

Andy and Evan – Fun Cactus Trunks $32.00 My son loved these shorts, but they were a bit too big. They don't have any way to adjust them, so we had to return these.

Nano Lightning Bolt Shirt

Nano Lightning Bolt Shirt $30.00 I was worried that these shorts wouldn't fit, but they were perfect. They are very soft and have lightning bolts down one leg.

April 2019 Mac & Mia Review

Final Thought: I loved all the soft t-shirts in the box! If I kept everything in the box, I would pay $372.00 That includes the $20 styling fee deduction and the 15% discount for keeping everything. I ended up returning a few items. If you only want to return one item, it may be still worth it to keep the whole box. Be sure to check the amount of the 15% discount. Use this link and get a $20 credit to use toward your clothing purchases.  The styling fee is $20, so this is like trying the box free! Note: If you buy 2 or more items, you will get your styling fee back too!
