First Look
The theme for the August 2018 ReefBox was “The Shark Dive Box”.
Shark Eyes Visual Deterrent by Shark Eyes $19.99 This decal fits on an oxygen tank, surfboard, fins or a body suit. Since sharks are visual hunters, the “eyes” help eliminate the element of surprise. This results in fewer shark bites! I think this is a neat item, though many divers I know rent their oxygen tanks. I think this is especially great for surfboards.
Shark Neoprene Mask Strap by Bottom Crawlers $9.95 This neoprene cover fits over the mask straps, to help you remove your mask easier. This cover keeps your hair from being tangled in your mask. My husband has a cover for his mask, but he will keep this as a spare.
Antique Brass Finished Shark Pendant Necklace $12.95 This is the first jewelry item we have received in this box. This pendant necklace features a brass shark with four beads. I like that this is a gender neutral necklace and it has a great beachy vibe.

Stream2Sea Starter Kit by Stream2Sea $13.50 Regular sunscreens and lip balms harm coral reefs, so it's very important to use proper products when you are diving. This bag contained three sample reef safe products. There is a tinted sport sunscreen (30 spf), sun protect lip balm, and sun & sting relief gel. This is a good way to try these products, before spending money on full-size products.
Waterproof Shark Decal $3.95 You can show your love for sharks with this waterproof decal.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $60.34. This box had a great value, but it was a let down for my husband. My husband really is looking at getting diving gear and gadgets, more than stickers, decals, and jewelry. The favorite item in the box was the mask strap cover.
