First Look
There is a detailed information sheet about the items in the box. The theme for September is “Sharing”. The scripture for this month comes from 1 Thess 2:8) “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well because you had come so dear to us.”
Hungry is a Mighty Fine Sauce by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson $11.25 You can share the word of God through food and fellowship with this book. The food is broken down into categories and there are stories and quotes throughout the book.
One of the first recipes I am going to try are these oven-baked ribs.
Abbie George Maggio There is No Shadow $5.94 Abbie is friends with the owner of the box. The cd has 6 songs on it, with my favorite being “There is no shadow”.
Dicksons Decorative Hot Pad $14.99 This hot pad is decorated with the quote from Acts “They broke bread in their homes & ate together with glad & sincere hearts. This is a beautiful and practical item, though it's not too thick, so don't put anything too hot on it.
Fair Hope Cards $14.95 Each box contains a pack of greeting cards. This month's card contains cards centered around encouragement, thank you and birthdays.. All my cards go in an accordion folder, so I can easily find a card I am looking for.
Final Thought: This box has a total value of $66.11. I enjoyed all the books and I look forward to reading the book about adoption. I like that there were several themed books in the box and I will be able to use the potholder in the kitchen.
