Glossybox December 2017 Review

Glossybox December 2017 Review

Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that sends five surprise luxury beauty products each month for $21.00.  Glossybox is a great way to try high-end products, for only a fraction of the cost.

Glossybox

Glossybox ships in a black box.

Glossybox

Glossyboxes are great boxes to keep and store your makeup in. I save mine and use them to store lip glosses, eyeliners, mascara, etc.

First Look

First Look. Everything in the box was wrapped in pretty pink tissue paper and tied with a black ribbon.

MakeupDrop Original

MakeupDrop Original $20.00 I have been wanting to try this. I use a Beauty Blender to apply my foundation, but I am always up for trying something new. This is designed to apply your makeup or primer without absorbing product. I tried this out not expecting to like it as well as my Beauty Blender. This really worked well to apply my foundation without using too much foundation. I was able to use less product and I felt it did a good job blending my foundation.

Beauty For Real I-Line 24-7 Eyeliner in Platinum Blonde

Beauty For Real I-Line 24-7 Eyeliner in Platinum Blonde

Beauty For Real I-Line 24-7 Eyeliner in Platinum Blonde $14.00 The color of this pencil is designed to highlight your eyes, not refer to hair color. This glides right on your eyes and really help give them a “pop”.

Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick

Laura Geller Easy Illuminating Stick $26.00 Since it has turned colder outside, I have been all about any makeup that shimmers or highlights. Winter is the time when skin can look dry and dull. Highlighters are a great way to make your skin look great. This isn't as bright as I expected. It gives just the right amount of shimmer.

The top is a swatch of the illuminating stick. The bottom is a swatch of the eyeliner. The illuminating stick doesn't show up as much in the picture, but it looks beautiful as a highlighter.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist $30.00 This product is made with Hungarian thermal water to hydrate and brighten your skin. It's scented with neroli and rose, so it smells good when you use it. It's named after the first recorded perfume, Queen of Hungary Water.

Show Beauty Riche Grooming Balm

Show Beauty Riche Grooming Balm

Show Beauty Riche Grooming Balm $45.00 This is a hair product that uses jojoba oil, safflower seed and argan oil to tame frizz and flyaways. I have naturally curly hair, which is prone to frizziness and dryness.  This helped keep my flyaways at bay and made my hair look shiny.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $135.00.  This box had an incredible value for a $21.00 box. I loved the illuminating stick the most, but the Makeupdrop turned out to work really well too. If you want to subscribe, you can get a FREE Sunday Riley CEO Serum with any 3, 6, or 12 month subscription.
