Everything comes in a green and white box.

This month, the project is DIY Wood Slice Photo Transfer Ornaments.  New this month, all the directions are found online.

The top paper unfolded and there were graphics at the bottom to use with the ornaments.

The Hippie Hobby Box

The Hippie Hobby box uses recycled newspaper in the box, instead of squiggles.

Wooden Discs

The ornaments were made with little wooden discs. One of our disc came without a pre-drilled hole, but I ended up making it work.

There was also some Mod Podge, a foam brush and a wooden plaque. The wooden plaque was a bonus activity that you could do.  You follow the directions for the ornaments and use a picture instead.

This was everything in the box.

The first step was to cut out the images and Mod Podge them to the discs.

The Hippie Hobby Box

You have to wait 24 hours for the Modge Podge to dry.  Once it's dry, you wet the ornament and rub the paper backing off.  Once you get enough layers off, you apply another layer of Mod Podge.

These are my finished ornaments.  One got the paper rubbed off too far and the snowflake didn't get enough paper rubbed off.  All in all though, they turned out decent.

Final Thought: This was a fun craft. My ornaments didn't turn out perfectly, but they were fun to do. I didn't complete the photo transfer because I am waiting for family photos to arrive by mail. This is a fun subscription for crafters. If you want to subscribe, you can save $7.00 on your 1st box, just use this link with the coupon BOXMOM7.
