Glossybox released a new holiday box, the Glossybox Limited Edition Holiday 2017 box. The box was $40.00 and came with $204.00 in value. The box is now sold out, but you can still subscribe to the regular Glossybox subscription. Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that sends five surprise luxury beauty products each month for $21.00. Glossybox is a great way to try high-end products, for only a fraction of the cost.
The Limited Edition box shipped in a gold box.
All the products came in a cute box. Glossybox always has great boxes. I reuse all mine for makeup storage.
The little draw pulls out too! Cute and functional storage.
The information card was a gold fold out poster.
When you first open it up, there was a little introduction to the box.
Inside, there were pictures and descriptions of everything in the box.
Buxom Big Tease Plumping Mascara $22.00 This volumizing mascara thickens and darkens lashes. I tried this out since I was almost done with my current mascara. This worked well with my lashes. I thought it made my lashes look thicker without clumping.
This is a look at the wand. It was easy to use!
DHC Liquid Eyeliner EX $20.00 This dries and won't smudge! This has a very precise tip, making that cat eye look very doable, providing you have a steady hand. I am not so talented and will use this for a basic look.
Nest Fragrances Candle in Sugar Cookie (Deluxe Size) $8.00 The full size sells for $40, but that is for a 8.1 oz candle. I estimated this as half a votive candle, and priced the candle accordingly. This is a strongly smelling candle and it really smells like sugar cookies.
Skinn Cosmetics Smokey Treatment Eyeshadow Palette $32.00 I wear smokey colors almost exclusively, so I really love this palette. The colors anti aging collagen and talc-free. The palette comes with a mirror and small applicator, so this would be a good palette to take on vacation.
This is a glance at the colors. They really don't swatch well, but with primer, they made a nice eye look.
Sunday Riley Modern Skincare C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum $85.00 This serum is the most expensive item in the box, more than double the cost of the box. It's loaded with vitamin C to brighten skin and improve your skin's “bounce factor”. This applied with the feel of a moisturizer and had a great citrus scent. I can't tell if my skin was any brighter yet, but it feels and smells good, so I will keep using it.
NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil in Dark Almond $18.00 This cuticle oil is the best one I have every used. It's has a pleasent floral scent and contains vitamin E and sunflower oil. The applicator is a little dropper, so you can apply just the tiniest bit. A little goes a long way with this, so this bottle will last a long time. Now that winter is here, I will be using this frequently.
GLAMGLOW POUTMUD Wet Lip Balm Treatment Mini In Starlet $19.00 When I first saw the color, I thought it was super bright. Luckily, this gloss goes on pretty light, so you won't have bright red lips. It's a very moistuizing balm, which is great for the cold weather. I love so many GLAMGLOW products, it's no wonder I like this one too.
This is the swatch of the balm. It gives some color, but nothing crazy.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $204.00. That was the price Glossybox gave for this box, so that means my estimated price on the candle is correct. This was a great box for $40.00. The palette, serum and GLAMGLOW balm were my favorite products in the box. This box sold out, but you can still subscribe to Glossybox.
