The Hippie Hobby

Everything comes in a green and white box.  The Hippie Hobby box uses recycled newspaper in the box, instead of squiggles.

DIY Jewelry Dish.

First Look. The craft this month is a DIY Jewelry Dish.

Information Sheet

When you open the information sheet, there are step by step instructions, along with pictures.

Hippie Hobby

The back of the paper has a bonus craft to make some jewelry for the dish.

The Hippie Hobby

The box included clay for the dish, paint, a paint brush, paint palette, super glue, washi tape, plastic animal and jewelry items.

The Hippie Hobby

You get a bit of the clay, roll it into a ball and then roll it out.  I sat a pan safe bowl dish on top of it for baking.  The directions suggested putting the clay on top of a bowl, but this worked too.  The two round pieces of clay became earrings.

The Hippie Hobby

After being baked, you use the paint to decorate the items.

The Hippie Hobby

I added little swirls to the dish.  It's not the fanciest thing in the world, but it works and matches my kitchen.

The Hippie Hobby

The earrings turned out okay.  It was hard to paint an even coat of paint, so they have this distressed look now. LOL.
