There was also a disposable apron, as this project can get messy.

Air Plants

There was also a plastic container to help with the project and two air plants.

The first step was to blow up the balloons to about 3″.

You empty the glue bottle in the plastic container and soak the jute. You then tie an end of the jute to the balloon, then slowly wind the jute around the balloon.

Once you have the balloons wrapped, you let them sit 24 hours.  Once they are dry, you pop the balloon.  I waited the 24 hours, popped the balloons and some parts were still a bit wet. so I let them dry another day.

Final Thought: I finished the orbs and they turned out great. I also made a skinnier orb, but I prefer the rounder orbs. You also use these at Christmas and decorate them with Christmas lights. The spray bottle was included to keep the air plants moist. If you want to subscribe, you can save $7.00 on your 1st box, just use this link with the coupon BOXMOM7.
