First Look

The Dark by Lemony Snicket

The Dark by Lemony Snicket $11.89 This is a sweet story that tells the story of how Laszlo stopped being afraid of the dark. The dark was always around, but usually stayed in the basement.  One night the dark came into Laszlo's bedroom, and Laszlo had to confront his fears.  This is a great book to teach kids not to be afraid of the dark.

The Only Child by Guojing $12.15 This is a really unique book, there are no words! It's one of the largest children's books we own, at over 100 pages.  The story is about a little child who leaves home to go to grandma's house, follows a stag and falls into a rabbit hole. For a book without words, it's really moving. I don't think little children will enjoy this as much as older children though.

The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn

The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn $10.74 This is one of my favorite books. Chester Raccoon is about to start school, but doesn't want to go. Chester's mom gives him a special way to remember her when he is at school.  I loved this book so much, I bought it for both of my kids,  It's a great book for the beginning of school.

Don't Eat the Baby by Amy Young

Don't Eat the Baby by Amy Young $14.87 This story is about a little boy who is worried everyone is going to eat his new baby brother.  The little boy hears everyone talked about how he is cute enough to eat, so he is out to protect the baby.  This is going to be a great gift for a soon-to-be big brother.
