Foodstirs “Berry Sweet Pancake Muffins” 2017 Review

First Look

The kit is going to make Berry Sweet Pancake Muffins. The recipe card has a list of ingredients in the box and a list of what you will need. Not included in the box was: eggs, milk, butter and greek or plain yogurt. You will also need the following kitchen tools: muffin pan, 2 mixing bowls, measuring cups. electric mixer, knife, wooden spoon, and measuring spoons.

The back of the recipe card gives step by step instructions for the recipe. This was an easy recipe to complete. All the directions were easy to follow.

There was also a card with tips about completing the kit.

Alpine Start The kit came with an envelope of four samples of Alpine Start coffee. Just add hot water and stir.

The dry ingredients were organic pancake mix and organic glaze mix.

There was a bag of dried blueberries in the box. These are used in the muffins and can be placed on top for decoration.

Also included in the box were cupcake liners and a bottle of maple syrup.

This is a look at everything in the box.

Baking the Berry Sweet Pancake Muffins

Step 1 was to mix the eggs, yogurt and milk. One of the tips was to use banana instead of yogurt. Since my 5 year old loves bananas, I chose to use bananas.

Step 2: In a separate bowl. you mix the dry ingredients, then mix them with the wet ones.

Step 3: You fill the muffins 3/4 full and bake for 13-15 minutes.

The completed muffins! Once they cool, you dip them in the glaze (which I didn't photograph) and decorate with some of the dried blueberries.

The muffins were sweet and moist. I loved the flavor and they had a perfect breakfast flavor.

Final Thought: This kit was so fun and turned out very delicious. This kit was a fun evening activity with both of my boys. They love cooking and the directions made it easy to do it together.
