Zine-o-Matic July 2016 Review + Half Off Coupon

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.  I received this box for review

Zine-o-Matic is a monthly subscription box of carefully curated zines and underground art from up and coming artists across the world.

The Details:

$13.99/month for the Small box (3-4 zines and some extra goodies)
$17.99/month for the Medium box (4-5 zines and some extra goodies)
$22.99/month for the Large box (5-6 zines and a bunch of extra goodies)

What's in the box? Each month, you will receive a carefully curated shipment of zines, indie art, stickers and vintage paper goods delivered to your door.

Shipping: Free shipping – currently available only in the USA.

Coupon: Use this link with the code CRATEJOY50, to get 50% off your 1st box.

Zine-o-Matic ships in a small envelope (ours came via UPS).

Zines: Included were the following zines (small, local magazines):

Stories Vol. 2 by Martin Cendreda – a comic-strip mini magazine
Are We Throwing Our Future Overboard? – a vintage (1952) pamphlet on capitalism in America
Vector & Golf – Augmented Artspace – an art zine
Grand Rapids Missed Connections – a compilation of Craigslist “missed connections” postings from Grand Rapids, in zine form
Shit You Learn in the Bathroom – An artistic and introspective look at what really happens in the loo

Stickers & Photos: A seemingly random assortment of stickers, album stickers (like the kind you used in your Panini albums as a kid), a Topps George W. Bush trading card, and a black and white photograph of two random people on a lake dock..

Extra credit if you can name these people, or the date, or the location!

The Last Call: A booklet of final sentiments of every ex-boyfriend the author had, compiled as if looking at text messages.  This was kind of funny, actually..

Random Art Collage: I think the title says it all here.  Looks like it was taken from the message board at a coffee shop.. Interesting.

Final Thought:  Zine-o-Matic is interesting, to say the least, but I did feel like it was a random hodge podge of free literature thrown into a mailer.  If you're an artsy type, I can see how this would be appealing – and you never know what nostalgic item is going to jog a memory.  If you'd like to check out Zine-o-Matic, click the link and get 50% off your first box with coupon code CRATEJOY50.  Now please excuse me while I run to the Dollar Tree and buy myself a Panini sticker album.  They have those there, you know…
