Bramble Box September 2016 Review

Bramble Box September 2016 Review

Bramble Box chose a Let's Play School theme for the September 2016 Bramble Box.

Bramble Box is a play subscription box for children 3-7 years old.  Each box is $25.00/month and boxes are filled with dramatic play materials.  Boxes have specific themes, like post office, detective, and scientist.

When you sign up, you will get a welcome kit with a pack of crayons, glue and sticker book.  Instead of being surprised each month, you can now pick your box each month for up to 6 months.

Bramble Box

Everything came in a big brown box.  For this month, you could re-purpose the box for play.

Everything was wrapped up in tissue paper.

The inside lid gave information about this month's theme, as well as a stick for your child's book.

Everything was packed neatly inside.

Pointer

Pointer There was a hand pointer for the teacher to point to the lesson.

Erasers/Markers and Writing Sheet:

Erasers/Markers and Writing Sheet: There were many laminated sheets in the box, and all of them can be wrote on with the dry erase markers.  I was especially glad to see the writing sheet, so my 4-year-old can practice his writing.

World Map

Maps: There was a two-sided map.  One side was the entire world, and the other side was just the United States.  Again, this was laminated, so your child can mark the places they have been, where they want to go, etc.

United States Map

We spent most of the time with the United States map.  My husband and I want to expose our children to as much of the world as we can.  We found out state, then marked where we have been.

Teacher Calendar

Teacher Calendar: Your child can customize the calendar for any month, mark holidays and special events too.  You can also use this for a countdown to vacations.

Velcro Dots

Velcro Dots: These dots stick to the laminated sheets and the box, so you can make a display for the teacher.

Name Cards

Name Cards These cards look like the name cards my older son has at school.  I wish the center was scored, so they were easier to fold.

Stickers

Stickers There was a packet of 238 stickers, plus three bonus sheets of stickers.  My kids love getting stickers on their papers at school.

Report Cards

Report Cards There were four different report cards to customize for each student.

Certificate of Excellence

Certificate of Excellence There were two certificates that can be given out as rewards.

School Passes

School Passes Like regular school, there were passes to go to different areas.

Calendar Play

My oldest got to work making the calendar.

Writing Practice

My son got to work practicing writing this name. T doesn't love practicing his letters, but he had so much fun playing school, he did it.

Practicing School.

L used the materials to teach T the days of the week and the holidays in October.

Report Card

When they were done, L went to work writing T's report card.

Final Thought: My kids really loved this box. My boys were able to play nicely together for about an hour playing school.  This box was packed with different supplies for playing school.
