The GlobeIn Benefit Basket is an artisan subscription box and a great box for people who love the regular GlobeIn box, but want a bit less. The Benefit Basket contains one crafted good from a remarkable, remote artisan, all in a colorful, handwoven basket from their weaving collective in Oaxaca, Mexico. You will also get story of the artisan, their community, and how you are making an impact on their lives. The Benefit Basket is $19.95/month or $56.95 for 3 months, but you can get $7.00 off your 1 box of a 3 month subscription with the code TRYBENEFIT.
GlobeIn ships in a big green box.
The information guide lets you know all about the items in the box, and who made them.
GlobeIn Signature Palm Leaf Basket (Oaxaca, Mexico) $12.00 This palm leaf basket is in all of the Benefit Baskets. This is great basket to store toys, kitchen utensils or it can be used as a gift basket.
Block Print Pouch by Matr Boomie (India) $20.00 This pouch is larger than I expected, 9.75″ x 8.25″. It’s made through Matr Boomie, which is an organization that gives economic opportunities to disadvantage artisans.
The pouch was made using block printing. The design is carved onto wood blocks, then using wet dye, the blocks are pressed into the fabric. After the design is made, the fabric is washed to set the print. There are three different colored bags sent, but each bag is different.
This is a look in the bag and a look at the pretty tassel.
Final Thought: I loved the bag this month, it’s unique and very useful. Between camping and travel, I know it will be used. GlobeIn always finds unique items from around the globe to include in their boxes.
If you want to subscribe, you can get $7.00 off your 1 box of a 3 month subscription with the code TRYBENEFIT. You will pay under $17.00/box.
