Night Knight Hardcover by Owen Davey $14.31 This little knight has many things to do before he goes to bed.  The illustrations are unique in this book and there are only 1-2 sentences per page.  This book is short enough for T to maintain attention and easy enough to read for my 7 year old.

From Amazon “Come on a bedtime adventure with one little knight as he rides through forests to reach his bedroom, battles crocodiles to brush his teeth and climbs the tallest tower to get into bed. This exciting and imaginative bedtime tale is told through Owen Davey's charming and witty words and illustrations — making this a perfect k-nightly read for every young adventurer.”

Autographed Book

The author was kind enough to autograph every book for Lil Book Club.

Night Knight

The pages are a thicker craft paper texture.  This book reminds me of the pretty illustrations in older books.

I was personally a fan of the big dragon.

You're a Crab!: A Moody Day Book by Jenny Whitehead

You're a Crab!: A Moody Day Book by Jenny Whitehead $13.80 Sometimes grown ups forget that little ones can have bad days and be angry.  This book features sea friends and explains to children that it's okay to be angry.

From Amazon “Some days, it's easy to feel friendly or funny or silly. But other days, it's easier to feel mad or mean or snappy―in other words, to be a crab. In this accessible introduction to moods and feelings, children will meet an underwater world full of friendly creatures, including a little crab whose changing moods show that it's okay to have days when you're feeling a little bit under the weather. Things will turn around soon enough!”

This puffer fish just had me smiling.  Look at the little guy!

Lil' Bear Book Club August 2016 Subscription Box Review

Final Thought: This month the total value was $28.11, which was outstanding!  This subscription is only $17.99.  The value is nice and there was also an autographed book.  Amazon is often really hard to beat prices, especially with books, but this subscription does it.  Not to mention, the books are adorable.  This is a great subscription for gift (they are already wrapped!), or to promote literacy in your own home.  If you want to try Lil' Bear Book Club, use this link with the code TEDDYBEAR to save 20%.
