Pet Treater Box July 2016 Review

Pet Treater Box July 2016 Review

Pet Treater is a subscription box for dogs that sends treats, interactive toys, and doggy accessories each month.  Boxes are $24.99/month, with discounts for longer subscriptions.  When you sign up, you will choose the size of your dog: small (0-20 lbs), medium (21-50 lbs), or large (51 lbs and up).  I received the medium box for my dog Buddy.

The Details

Cost: $24.95/month, $68.97/3 month sub, $131.94/6 month sub, $239.88/1 year sub. There is also a one time box for $34.99.

Coupon: Use the coupon PT-BED for a free pet bed or LOVE-PT5 to take $5.00 off. Please note that these codes can not be combined.  You can see the pet bed in my review here.

Polymailer bag

Everything shipped in a polymailer bag.

Pet Treater Box

The actually box is rather large and very colorful.

sticker

The inside lid had a cute sticker, “You know it’s hot when even the dog starts melting”.

First Look

First Look.  There was so much stuff packed in the box.

Pet Treater Letter

There is always a letter addressed to the dog.  This month, Buddy received tips for their “human friend” to use to keep dogs cool this summer.

July Pet Treater Theme

There was a card with this month’s theme and a card with this month’s pet profile.

rescue organization

The back of the cards had a giveaway you can enter, along with a featured profile for this month’s animal welfare organization, Karma K-9.  Karma K-9 is a rescue organization that focuses on Pit Bills.

Frosty Bowl Chilled Pet Water Bowl

Frosty Bowl Chilled Pet Water Bowl $15.29 This was one of the spoilers for this box.  This has a $20.00 MSRP and keep your dog’s water colder longer.  I have already used this and it’s really great.  You pop it in the freezer, then add water.  It’s super hot here and Buddy’s water has remained cold.

Frosty Bowl Chilled Pet Water Bowl

The inner bowl lifts out to chill.

Star Bandanna

Star Bandanna Your pup can be patriotic with this star bandanna.  This was big enough for Buddy and he didn’t mind wearing it.

Star Bandanna

Isnt’ he just the cutest?

Marvel Comics Captain America Bottle Toy $12.07  This toy is a plush cover for an empty water bottle.  Buddy loves playing with water bottles and this gives a cute cover for the bottle.

Marvel Comics Captain America Bottle Toy

Buddy started playing with this toy right away.

Spongeables Spa-In-a-Sponge for Dogs

Spongeables Spa-In-a-Sponge for Dogs $2.99  I have received a similar product before for humans.  This sponge is loaded with soap, for over 6 uses!  Just add water, and you will have a clean pup!

Emmy's Gourmet Canine Creations Three Cheese Pleasers

Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations Three Cheese Pleasers  $2.00 This looks like a yummy cookie, but it’s a cheese treat for dogs.  It has a cute patriotic theme and made with natural ingredients.

033

Loving Pets Grill-icious All Natural Beef Treats $7.27  Buddy likes many different kinds of treats but he LOVED these.  These come in a huge 8 oz bag and are all natural beef flavor with sweet potato.  They are gluten free, and preservative free.

Loving Pets Grill-icious All Natural Turkey Treats $4.19 These are similar to the beef flavor, but made with turkey.  Buddy hasn’t tried these yet, because I don’t want the treats to go stale.

Pupsicles Mold and Recipe

Pupsicles Mold and Recipe Pet Treater included a recipe for natural treats, made of bananas, honey, plain yogurt and peanut butter.  You just mix the ingredients and put them in these molds. You can freeze them for cool treats during the day.  The recipe is a magnet, so you can stick it to your refrigerator.

Grabber Cool Core Towel (Human Gift)

Grabber Cool Core Towel (Human Gift) $8.75  This cooling towel is made to help you beat the heat.  Just wet it, wring it out, wave it around, and it will be cool.  I am going to try this out on an outdoor run and see it it works.

Pet Treater Box July 2016 Review

Final Thought: This box had a total value of over $52.56.  I couldn’t get a full retail value of everything, but I am impressed with what’s in the box.  The water bowl is just what I needed for Buddy and perfect for a July box.  I love this subscription, because it’s always packed with great dog treats, toys and more.  Use the coupon PT-BED for a free pet bed or LOVE-PT5 to take $5.00 off. Please note that these codes can not be combined.
