Mindful Coloring Box May 2016 Review
Mindful Coloring Box is an adult coloring subscription that is only $34.95/month. Each month, you will get a 32 page “Guided Meditation Coloring Bookâ€, 5 premium coloring supplies, cards and postcards to color. Adult coloring is very popular now and it's a great way to relax.

What's in the box? Each month, you will get a 32 page “Guided Meditation Coloring Bookâ€, 5 premium coloring supplies, cards and postcards to color.
The box shipped by USPS and was wrapped in Kraft paper.
The box was plain brown with a sticker on top. You can use your art supplies to decorate the box and use it for storage.
First Look
Mindful Coloring Box sent a clipboard as a special bonus. Mindful Coloring Box sends free bonuses from time to time.
Prismacolor Pencils Each box comes with 5 art supplies and this box included colored pencils. Boxes contained a variety of colored palettes. I received the colored palette “Love”.
I received colors: Gold, Blackberry, Clay, Seafoam, and Midnite. Each color has a nice pigment. They color like a crayon, but have the control of a pencil.
Guided Meditation Coloring Book This book has 32 pages and is a combination of meditative phrases and detailed pictures to color. The pages are nice and thick, so regardless of what you use to color with, they won't bleed through.
The first few pages of the book give you an introduction, art tips, coloring tips and practice pages.
This is a look inside the book. The guided meditation is on the left and the coloring page is on the right. I enjoy meditation as part of my self-care. Coloring with a phrase to meditate on was really enjoyable and relaxing.
Here is a look at a section that has been colored. I love the quality of the paper and pencils. I generally dislike coloring with pencils, but these color like a crayon.
There was also a folder filled with various kinds of materials to color. The folder is made of a thick glossy material that you can also color.
Inside, there was an information sheet with a list of all the projects in the folder: 2 postcards, 2 notecards. and 4 tiles. All the materials were designed by Jenifer Novak Landers.
The quote if the month is “There's something satisfying about seeing your thought and effort create a tangible, pretty thing at a reasonable predictable pace. This is a cherished, rare occurrence in life.”
Postcards One postcard was a grey color with flowers all over it. The other postcard fits with the love theme. These are not formatted on the back to mail, but they would make a beautiful card for someone or a poster for your room.
Tiles and Notecards The bottom two pieces are plain notecards to color and personalize. The tiles are a thicker cardboard. I am going to color the tiles and laminate them for coasters.
Final Thought: This was a really impressive box. The colored pencils were really impressive and I would love to see what other materials are sent each month.
