There was a paper that laid out all the supplies in the box.

There were colorful directions that walked through step by step how to make the caddy.

sand the pieces

The first step was to sand all the wooden pieces.

painting the pieces

My son helped with the project.  The next few steps was paint all the pieces.

004

I didn't take a picture of putting the caddy together, because it took both hands to complete the project.  This was a really fun project to do, though I did make a mistake.  I put the two side pieces together on the side of the bottom board, instead of putting the pieces on top of the board.  My error made the white side pieces hard to put on, but my son and I made it work.

005

The side has a bottle opener.  We are stocking the caddy with my husband's favorite beer, and giving it to him for father's day.

Final Thought: This was a really fun project.  My 7 year old wants real tools for his birthday, so completing this project with me was really fun.  Even making a mistake, the caddy turned out well.  My son is super excited to give his to my husband for Father's Day.  To try this subscription, use this link with the code SUBMOM to receive 10% off your subscription.
