First Look

First Look.  Everything was packed with pretty glitter tissue paper.

The Movie

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory $4.00 I love this classic version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  I love Johnny Depp, but nothing can beat Gene Wilder’s portrayal of Willy Wonka.

The Snacks

Act II Butter Lovers Popcorn

Act II Butter Lovers Popcorn You can’t have a movie without popcorn.

Popcorn Bags

Popcorn Bags  These are great so you don’t have to pass around a bowl, plus they look cute too.

Everlasting Gobstopper

Everlasting Gobstopper Since this candy makes its appearance in the movie, it’s nice it was included in the box.  Gobstoppers was one of my favorite candies growing up, so I know I will personally love these.

Wonka Bar

Wonka Bar Family Movie Club made cute little wrappers to cover their chocolate bars.  I like cute little touches like this in the box.  Family Movie Club really thought out cute details to include in the box.

Golden Ticket

The candy bar was a Hershey’s Bar, and there was even a Golden Ticket.  My whole family loved the Golden Ticket.  Each of my boys wanted to keep it.

Sucker My kids love these rainbow suckers, but I really liked that this was wasn’t giant.  This was the right size for a movie, without taking a week to eat.

Wonka Vision Glasses These glasses glow in the dark and are super fun to wear while watching the movie.

Final Thought: I didn’t do a full breakdown of the retail value, but it was around $15.00.  One thing that is important to note about movie subscription boxes.  Due to competition with $1.00 rentals and Amazon, it’s unrealistic to expect a high retail value from a movie subscription box. I do wish there was a few more items in the box, to add to the value.  This box is designed to give your family a fun movie night experience, which this box did.  I really liked the little extra details Family Movie Club did to the box: Wonka Bar wrapper and tag for the glasses.  If you want to try Family Movie Club, and have your own movie night, use this link with the code BOXMOM to save 50% off your 1st box.  Family Movie Club has also give me a bot to give away!  Just enter below for a chance to win.

What do I like about this box? I like the IDEA of this box–a fun family movie night with snacks, a movie, and some treats. I’m like you, however, in wishing there were more things in the box to justify spending $24.95 a month for such a box.
