Birchbox April 2016 Review

Birchbox April 2016 Review

Birchbox is $10.00/month and they send five sample beauty and skin care products, every month.  Subscribers can now upgrade to a $30.00 box.  The $30.00 box will contain 2 full size beauty or skin care products, along with the five usual products.

When you sign up, you fill out a profile, so Birchbox can customize your box to your preferences.  There is a regular monthly box and they also have guest editor boxes. Birchbox releases spoilers and a full reveal of the guest editor boxes, so you will know which box to choose.  I actually have two Birchbox subscriptions.  This is the box for my newest account.

Rifle Paper Co

The box design this month was a partnership with Rifle Paper Co!  I know many subscribers were excited about this!

Rifle Paper Co Coupon

There was a welcome letter about the box and a coupon to save at Rifle Paper Co.

information card

The back of the welcome card had the information card.

amika Touchable Hairspray

amika Touchable Hairspray $1.80  When I first saw this, I thought it was dry shampoo.  I love that I received hairspray because it’s always a product that is nice to have on hand.  This has a nice hold and doesn’t feel like it has glue on it.

Au Naturale Cosmetics Trio Set

Au Naturale Cosmetics Trio Set $1.00 This is a sample set of blush, eye shadow and lipstick.  I love the cream lipstick and the shadow, but I don’t love the blush.

Here are swatches of the samples.  The shadow almost blends in my skin, so it’s really hard to see.

Aquarevealâ„¢ Satin Bright Soft Water Peel for Face

Aquarevealâ„¢ Satin Bright Soft Water Peel for Face $8.70 You massage this into your skin, rinse and your skin will rid of impurities.  I love cleansers, masks and scrubs, so this was one of my favorite items in the box.

Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution

Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution $3.50  This removes makeup and acts like a toner.  It’s made to also work for sensitive skin too. I was impressed with how well this works, and I will be buying more from Birchbox when this runs out.

Acure Organics Lip Lush

Acure Organics Lip Lush $5.99 This gloss is full size in the color No Strings.  This gloss is made with organic argan oil and echinacea stem cell.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $20.99.  I really enjoyed this box and I loved the face peel.  Birchbox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions.  Subscribe and use the code SUBSCRIBENOW50 to get 50 points ($5.00) to spend in the online store.
