Fuego Box March 2016 Review

Fuego Box March 2016 Review

Fuego Box is a hot sauce of the month club that sends craft and small-batch hot sauces. Fuego Box sends truly tasty and dynamic sauces, and they refuse to send “insane heat, gimmicky labeling, and extract-based sauce”

When you subscribe to Fuego Box, you will get a special introductory box with a mini-tasting notebook, 2 full-sized sauces, and a few samples (Read the Introductory Box Review Here). Your 2nd box and on includes 3 full-sized hot sauces.

There are three different subscription plans:

  • 3 Hot Sauces per Month: $29.95
  • 3 Hot Sauces per Quarter $29.95
  • 1 Hot Sauce per Month $12.95  ($5.00 shipping)

The box ships in a thick padded mailer.

Information Card

The information card gives a background about each sauce and dishes to try it on.

Born to Hula Smokehaus Blues

Born to Hula Smokehaus Blues I was so excited to see this sauce in the box.  It is a smoky, zesty bbq sauce that is perfect for all kinds of meats.  I love putting hot sauce on steak, so this is going to be use right away.  I am also going to try it on some frozen veggies for my lunch.

Red Robot Classic Hot Sauce   Apparently the company’s website has been hacked, so I couldn’t link to the site.  This is an all natural hot sauce that is made with jalapeno, onions, garlic and cilantro.  I love more traditional hot sauces on my chicken dish.  Just cut up chicken breast and cook in a skillet, then add your favorite hot sauce.

Dragon's Blood Elixir Hot Sauce

Dragon’s Blood Elixir Hot Sauce  I have a secret love of all thing medieval, so this one is really intriguing.  This is the company’s best-selling sauce.  It’s all natural and is rated a 7.5 dragons out of 15, so not super hot.  It has a great list of ingredients including salsa, apple puree and apple cider.  I haven’t open this, since I have a few bottles open, but it sounds great.   Fuego Box recommends this on Chinese or Thai food, or wings.

Final Thought: If you like testing your limits with hot sauce or just love discovering new brands, this box is for you.  I am one of the few people in my family who loves hot sauce, so I get this box all to my self.  I love finding new recipes to use my hot sauce in. I have even been able to sneak it in my dishes without my family noticing. You can check out Fuego Box with this link and use the coupon AMIGOS to save $10.00 on your first box.  This coupon also works on the single bottle subscription, so you can get a box for under $3.00.
