Fuego Box is a hot sauce of the month club that sends craft and small-batch hot sauces. Fuego Box sends truly tasty and dynamic sauces, and they refuse to send “insane heat, gimmicky labeling, and extract-based sauce”

When you subscribe to Fuego Box, you will get a special introductory box with a mini-tasting notebook, 2 full-sized sauces, and a few samples (Read the Introductory Box Review Here). Your 2nd box and on includes 3 full-sized hot sauces.

There are three different subscription plans:

  • 3 Hot Sauces per Month: $29.95
  • 3 Hot Sauces per Quarter $29.95
  • 1 Hot Sauce per Month $12.95  ($5.00 shipping)

The box came in a padded white mailer, so nothing would get broken.

I like the little white mountains on the box.

First Look

The information card gives a background about each sauce and dishes to try it on.

C & C Foods Sweet Savina Sunrise (S3)

C & C Foods Sweet Savina Sunrise (S3) This sauce is made in Charlestown, S.C and is made with ghost chilies.  The sauce only has fresh peppers, mangos, onions, and garlic (along with a bit of salt).  I could really taste the peppers in this, along with the garlic.  The mango gave it a slight sweet flavor that helped balance the garlic/peppers.

Ghost Scream Hot Sauce

Ghost Scream Hot Sauce This bottle frightened me a bit when I saw it, but it ended up being my favorite sauce.  This company only uses California-grown produce and uses ghost peppers to make this great sauce.  It had a nice smoky, almost BBQ flavor with a kick.  This would be great on ribs or steak.  I am actually searching my kitchen for something to use this on, because this was awesome.

Marshalls Serrano Ginger Lemongrass Normally, I am really not a fan of green chilies/peppers, but this sauce was fantastic.  It was sweet and the texture was almost like a relish, but it had the spice of the peppers, mixed with the garlic and lemongrass.  There are several different flavors going on in this sauce, but it was fantastic.

Final Thought: This was a great box.  The sauces were hot, but not “I'm going to die” hot.  I love the different flavors Fuego Box selected this month.  The Ghost Scream was by far my favorite sauce, and I imagine it will be gone in a month.  You can check out Fuego Box with this link and use the coupon AMIGOS to save $10.00 on your first box.  This coupon also works on the single bottle subscription, so you can get a box for under $3.00.
