Birchbox is $10.00/month and they send five sample beauty and skin care products, every month. Subscribers can now upgrade to a $30.00 box. The $30.00 box will contain 2 full size beauty or skin care products, along with the five usual products.
When you sign up, you fill out a profile, so Birchbox can customize your box to your preferences. There is a regular monthly box and they also have guest editor boxes. Birchbox releases spoilers and a full reveal of the guest editor boxes, so you will know which box to choose. I actually have two Birchbox subscriptions. This is the box for my newest account.

The Date Night Box was the featured curated box this month. If you want this box, it’s still available in the shop!
This box was designed to help you have a complete look for a night out.
Birchbox always includes a card with the full retail value of all the items.
Cynthia Rowley Beauty Brightening Illuminator $10.18 I love highlighters, but not all of them look great with my skin tone, This one has a light shade, so I can apply a little without looking ridiculous.
This is a swatch! I love it and am going to buy the full size. The full size also has a brush applicator.
Whish Renewing Mud Mask $11.00 My skin has really been spastic lately, so I need this mask. This mask gets rid of dead skin cells, but also calms and soothes your skin. While nothing works overnight, I used the mask and my skin looked fresher.
Catherine Malandrino Romance de Provence $2.82 I generally groan when I get perfume samples, but I don’t eliminate them from my profile, because I have found some awesome scents in Birchbox. This doesn’t have a spray bottle application, which is really the only way I like to apply perfume. This is described as a mix of jasmine, orange flower, rose, violet and lily (all against a backdrop of powder musk, amber, and patchouli). It is just a bit too floral/sweet for me.
amika Bombshell Blowout Spray $3.00 This spray is so versatile, it really goes with every kind of hair. You can use this on wet or dry hair. This can be uses to protect hair when you blow dry, set a style and so much more. It’s safe for color treated hair too, so I can use this.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Liquid Lipstick – The Reds $9.14 This Lip Tar packs color and has a long lasting matte finish. You will need some serious makeup remover to get this stuff off at the end of the day.
This is a swatch, I love the color. I didn’t wait for it to dry and become matte. but it does become matte.
Final Thought: This had a total value of $3.14. I enjoyed this box, with the exception of the perfume. Birchbox is one of my favorite beauty boxes, because they send great products and the point system is the best in the business. Subscribe and use the code SUBSCRIBENOW50 to get 50 points ($5.00) to spend in the online store.
