Smugglers Bounty January 2016 Star Wars The Force Awakens Review

Star Wars Smuggler's Bounty Funko Subscription Box is a new Star Wars subscription box. They just shipped their second box. This box is a partnership with Funko, just like the Marvel box. Boxes are $25.00 (plus shipping) and they ship every other month. Each box will have an exclusive item with a value over $50.00!

There are two subscription plans: Pirate and Boss. Pirate memberships are “month to month”, while Boss memberships are annual subscription. Boss subscribers also will receive “an exclusive, themed collectible gift every year on the anniversary of your annual membership.”

Everything came in a big box, with good graphics on the side.

First Look. There was a patch and pin on top.

Chewbacca FUNKO POP Exclusive: This is an exclusive version of Chewbacca. The regular release version is made of hard plastic and this one has fuzzy fur.

Here is a comparison of the Exclusive and Regular release versions. The Exclusive version is on the left. If you look closely, you can see it is fuzzy. I also think the heads are molded slightly different. The exclusive version seems a bit smaller.

FUNKO T-Shirt This shirt features Rey, Finn, Poe Demeron, Han Solo and Chewbacca. The shirts are unisex, so my large shirt is pretty huge. I need to size down for the next box.

C-3PO POP! Ceramic Mug This mug is more rectangular and is pretty cute! I like they included a red handle, to match C-3PO's red arm. This will go to my husband, since he drinks all the warm beverages.

Patch and Pin There was a BB-8 patch and a Poe Dameron pin. What do you do with the pins and patches you get in boxes?

Final Thought: This was a great box and I am glad I subscribed. I ended up buying the premier box when I started my subscription. I love Star Wars and I am collecting the Star Wars Funkos, so I really enjoy this subscription. I am going to be sure to change my shirt size, but I am really happy with the box.
