What's in the box? Each box is packed with small batch British hot sauce and chili products.
The box shipped internationally in a black polymailer bag.
The box had the Lick My Dip logo on top and was rather heavy.
First Look.
The information card had a flaming pumpkin on the front.
The back of the card had a list of everything in the box.
Sidekick Screaming Pepper Extra Hot Sauce (DIP) $5.87 This is made with the hottest chili in the world, the Carolina Reaper. While this was hot, it had more of a pepper (plant) taste than chili. The main ingredient is bell peppers, which gives it that pepper taste I was referring to. I think this one would taste best cooked into a dish, rather than on chicken wings.
There was a little note card about the Sideckick products. None of their products contain artificial additives, preservatives, colors or flavors.
Lick My Dip Cinnamon and Chill Candy (SNACK): These are colored to look like hornets and taste just like an Atomic Fireball, but maybe not quite as hot. These were really good!
Dr Burnorium's Extraordinary Psycho Corn Ghost Pepper Popcorn (GRAZE) This was by far the hottest popcorn in the box. It has a nice caramel flavor with a nice heat (at first). One you begin eating it, the heat kicks up and your tongue begins to burn and burn. A true hot sauce lover can probably finish off this bag in one sitting, but it was far too hot for me.
The Twisted Chilli Tindaloo Curry (COOK) This mix is made to help you cook your very own Tindoloo (hot) curry. All you need for this is meet/veggies, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, tomato puree, and onions.
This is a look inside the package. There is an ingredients list as well as full written instructions to make the recipe.
There was also a recipe for The Dirty Dexter Short Rib Hash with Sidekick Hot Tom Spicy Ketschup. This probably has 10,000 calories, but it looks tasty.
Final Thought: This box had a nice mix of hot and very hot snacks. I liked that there was different kinds of items, like the curry mix to cook with and the popcorn to snack on. All the products are found in the UK, which makes this box even more unique to US subscribers. I think any hot sauce connoisseur would enjoy this box.
