Embellished Boxes October 2015 Review

Embellished Boxes is a Canadian subscription box that sends DIY projects each month.  For $12.95/month, you get two crafts a month.  Embellished Boxes wants to help people learn to craft and enjoy crafting.  I was surprised to get a box to review, as their site was down for a while and they weren't taking new subscriptions.

The Details:

Cost: $12.95

What's in the box? Every monthly box is filled with two D.I.Y crafts

Shipping: Embellished Boxes ships to the United States, Canada and Australia.  Shipping to the U,S,A is free, but there is a shipping charge for Canada and Australia.

The inside of the lid has the instructions for the projects in the box.  The two crafts this month are Bamboo Make Up Organizer and Hand Painted Tea Towels.

Bamboo Make Up Organizer:

Bamboo Make Up Organizer: This craft only needs three supplies, the bamboo mat, elastic and glue.  To complete this project, you weave the elastic through the bamboo mat, then seal the ends with hot glue (not included).
033

This is the finished project!  This was super easy to do, I wish there was enough elastic to make a band to wrap around the roll, or a button to keep it closed.

034

After putting your brushed in, you can roll it up and store it.

Hand Painted Tea Towels:

Hand Painted Tea Towels: The second project was to make a painted tea towel.  Embellished boxes included a towel, paint and brush.

035

The towel was a little thin, so I made sure to put paper underneath while I was working.  The finished towel turned out cute.

Final Thought: This was a fun craft box to complete.  I am going to add a button or tie to my brush holder to keep it closed.  The tea towel turned out cute and was fast to make.  If you enjoy crafting, check out Embellished boxes.  I would start with a month to month subscription, since they recently had their website down, just to ensure they will be up and running for the months to come.  If you want to try Embellished Boxes, click HERE.
