Bean Box if a coffee subscription that sends hand-picked whole bean coffee from Seattle's top-rated roasters.  This month, I was sent the Latin America Sampler Box for review. There are two different monthly options to choose from: The Expand Your Palate Box and the Fill Your Morning Cup Box.  The Expand Your Palate Box is $20.00/month and it comes with four 1.8 ounce bags of whole bean coffee, tasting notes, roaster notes and brewing tips.

The Fill Your Morning Cup Box is $20.00/month for a 12 oz bag of coffee that is picked based on your specific tastes.  When you sign up for this option, you pick if you prefer: light, light+medium, medium only etc.  Bean Box also prints the roasting date on the back of each coffee, so you will know all your coffee is fresh.

Cancel: You can cancel right from your account. You need to cancel by the end of the day Wednesday (Pacific Time) the week before your next scheduled shipment, which is always on a Tuesday.

The front of the information card has a list of all the brands of coffee in the box.  For each coffee in the box, I am including some information about the coffee and then my husband included a taste profile for each coffee.

Fonte Coffee Roaster Brasil Fazenda Passeio: This is roasted in Seattle and is a dark roast with notes of milk chocolate and citrus

Acidity:  Mid level acidity for me.

Body: Full body aroma and taste

Sweetness: Smell had many hints of the coffee was sweet with a milk chocolate

Finish: The Brasil Fazenda started with the taste I expected, but the finish of the coffee had the spicy taste described on the bag.

True North Guatemalan Finca Puerta Verde

True North Guatemalan Finca Puerta Verde: This is a medium roast coffee with notes of chocolate and cherry.

Finca Puerta Verde Coffee Taste Profile

Acidity:  high acidity

Body  Full Body

Sweetness: Fruity taste with some bite of citrus.

Finish: The after taste was kinda bitter and seemed mainly due maybe to the high acidity.

Ladro Roasting Coasta Rica El Pilon Natural

Ladro Roasting Coasta Rica El Pilon Natural This is a sweet and light coffee with notes of dried figs, dates, and brown sugar.

Acidity: Low acidity

Body: Light body

Sweetness: Semi sweet

Finish: The finish wasn't all that impressive but was okay with the sweet.

Broadcast Coffee Roasters Colombia Finca La Pradera: This is a family own company in Columbia.  This roast is 100% Organic and Rainforest Alliance Certified.  This is a sweet coffee with notes of dark chocolate, taffy and vanilla.

Acidity: Low acidity

Body: Light body and aroma but with the hints of its chocolate

Sweetness: Semi sweet

Finish: Decent after taste that was very chocolaty almost it had raw coco as part of the coffee itself. This was the one I liked to most of the choices.
