The information card contains information about the box's theme and details about each product.

Kalamkari Fabric Hand Towel

Kalamkari Fabric Hand Towel $8.00 for 2. Kalamkari is the name for the hand-painting pattern on these towels.  The artist first soaks the fabric in resin and cow milk, then the pattern is drawn with bamboo dipped in vegetable dyes.  These towels can be washed up 20 times, but since they are so pretty, I am sure I will only use these as display.

Hand Woven Ikat Fabric Tote Bag

Hand Woven Ikat Fabric Tote Bag $18.00 Ikat is the name for dyeing process to make these unique patterns on the bag.  These bags are hand-woven and because of the unique nature of the dying process, the pattern can look blurry.  I love getting new tote bags and this one has a fabulous pattern.

The bag snaps shut and there are two little pockets inside too.

Handmade Udaygiri Wooden Cutlery

Handmade Udaygiri Wooden Cutlery $12.00 Artisans have been making handcarved cutlery like this in Udayagiri for over 120 years.  The trade is passed down from generation to generation and currently, there are only five families still making this art.  I love the intricate details on these fork.  These would make great salad forks. or even just hanging in your kitchen as decoration.

Bidri Work Paperclip

Bidri Work Paperclip $7.00 This is made of a blackened alloy of zinc and copper.  The silver details are made from thin sheets of pure silver.  To make Bidri, the artisan uses four stages: casting, engraving, inlaying and oxidizing.  This is a nice heavy piece to hold important papers.

Hydrabad Pearl Neckpiece

Hydrabad Pearl Neckpiece $35.00 I saved my favorite item for last.  This necklace is made of hand drilled fresh water pearls.  This is such a beautiful piece and I love the two toned pearls.  This is a classic necklace that will work in practically every woman's jewelry collection.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $80.00, and is my favorite box from Artisan Box.  I love the pearl necklace and the forks are fantastic.  I love everything in the box, and I also love finding out how each item was made.  If you love hand crafted goods and love having unique pieces for your home,  check out Artisan Box.
