I See You Made an Effort: Compliments, Indignities, and Survival Stories from the Edge of 50 $13.07  Since I am not close to 50, I gave this to my mom, Here is a synopsis of the book

“Annabelle Gurwitch is the child prodigy of the literature on aging. The only downside of this book is that it is bound to deepen your laugh lines.” —Barbara Ehrenreich, author of Nickel and Dimed

Actor and humorist Annabelle Gurwitch returns with a wickedly funny book of essays about the indignities faced by femmes d’un certain âge. Whether she is falling in lust at the Genius Bar, coping with her best friend’s assisted suicide, or navigating the extensive—and treacherously expensive—anti-aging offerings at the beauty counter, Gurwitch confronts middle age with candor, wit, and a healthy dose of self-deprecation. Scorchingly honest, surreally and riotously funny, I See You Made an Effort is the ultimate coming-of-middle-age story and according to Bill Maher, “it should be required reading for anyone between the ages of 40 and death. Scratch that- even after death, it's a must read.”

Drink Recipes

Drink Recipes:  There are seven large, colorful recipe cards for various drinks and spirits.  The back of each card has a from famous book.  The hot and spicy homecoming cocoa is the first one I want to try.

Silicone Wine Cups

Silicone Wine Cups These cups are the coolest inventions. You can mash these up and stuff them in your pocket or purse, then pull them out when you need a drink.  They are unbreakable, so you could even use them for toddlers, I think they would be easy for little hands to hold.  They came bundles together with a headband.

5 oz Round Flask

5 oz Round Flask These is great for booze on the go.  You can take this with you when you have to go to that one holiday party you always dread.

The Rainy Apple Shoppe Pumpkin Spice Soap

The Rainy Apple Shoppe Pumpkin Spice Soap  This was made just for this box!  It's handmade and has a great pumpkin spice smell.

Ducky

Ducky:  Just because you grow older, doesn't mean you have to grow up.  This little duck is perfect for a relaxing bubble bath.

Honest Hazel Eye Gels

Honest Hazel Eye Gels  I hate my under eye circles. and these are made with cactus collagen, arbutin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and more to combat fine lines and undereye circles.

Credit Card Holder

Credit Card Holder: Stick this on the back of the card and you can keep your credit card with your phone.  Of course if you are one of those people who loose their phone frequently (aka me), you may not want to use it.

Fastachi Chocolate Nut Mix

Fastachi Chocolate Nut Mix This has almonds, cranberries, sesame peanuts, dark chocolate, pistachios, dark raisins,  and hazelnuts.  This is a great combination of nuts with a bit of sweetness.

Final Thought: This box was really great and well worth the cost of the box.  I like that the box had some practical items like the eye gels and soap, while also include fun items like the cups.  This is a great new box and can be enjoyed by a variety of women, although I think women over 30 will enjoy it the most.  You can use this box with the code SUBMOM5 to save $5.00 on your 1st box.
