DateCrates Relax and Unwind Box Review

DateCrates is a “date in a box”.  While you won't be charged a fee every month.  This service is pretty great, because you only buy the box you want.  Boxes range from $35.00 to $49.00 and all are filled with what you need for a fun date with your significant other.  Right now the themes are Pop n' Box. Glamping, Puppy Love, Sushi Master, Game of Throws, Rise and Shine, Latte Love and Relax and Unwind.

I was sent the Relax and Unwind box, which is $35.00 and filled with bubble bath, soap and other goodies to make your spa night.  DateCrates is also a Christian company and includes a verse in the bible on their information cards, which encourages couples to find Christ in their relationship.

There was a theme information card about how to use the box.  The goal of the date is to relax.  There are general guidelines to help you make the most of your crate.

The bible verse for this box is Ephesians 3:16-19, which reads  “ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with powerthrough his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your heartsthrough faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (NIV)

Vanilla Tealight Candle

Vanilla Tealight Candles $4.98  The date begins by lighting some vanilla tealights around the room and getting comfortable.  There are 8 candles, so you can use these in the bathroom and your “comfortable area too”.

ToGoSpa Eyes Coconut

ToGoSpa Eyes Coconut $12.50  I can personally vouch that these are fantastic.  These coconut eyes are replenishing and are designed to restore and nourish the delicate area under you eyes.  Just place these under your eyes for 20 mins, and your eyes will look better!  Tip:  put these in the refrigerator before using, and they will feel fantastic.  There are three packs so both people can use these.

Que Bella Clarifying Mask

Que Bella Clarifying Mask $1.99 est  This peel off mask will help clarify your skin with cucumber and witch hazel extracts.  This isn't a huge packet, but I think there is enough for two people.  You apply the mask with the eyes still on and spend the next 20 minutes talking.

Weleda – Arnica Massage Oil, Travel Size .34 Oz $4.22  After you take off your eyes and face mask, it's time for massages.  This oil smells great and a little goes a long way, so this stuff will last awhile.

Deep Steep Bubble Bath – Lavender Chamomile $10.62 This is one of my favorite items in the box.  This bubble bath has a great lavender scent and makes lots of bubbles. The idea is to have a nice bubble bath together.  I unfortunately don't have a garden tub, so my 6'5 husband and I are not going to be able to use this together.

Farmstead Milk Soap Little Seed Farm Lavender Bar

Farmstead Milk Soap Little Seed Farm Lavender Bar $7.00  This is made with organic lavender oils and it smells fantastic.  I have really grown to love bar soap and this one will be the next one we used.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $41.31, which is over the $35.00 cost.  I have reviewed some couple's spa boxes before and I think this one was done very nicely.  They used quality spa products and the only reason I couldn't use the bubble bath as directed is the size of my tub.  I think DateCrates did a nice job making this box. This is great for couples who want date ideas or people will kids and can't get a babysitter.  Just grab a DateCrate, put the kids to bed and enjoy.  You can check out their other crates here on their website.
