BrickBox September 2015 Subscription Box Review

BrickBox September 2015 Subscription Box Review

BrickBox is a new brick subscription box that focuses on authentic brick (aka LEGO).  There are three different subscription plans, BrickBox Loot, BrickBox Mini, and BrickBox.  Plans start at $13.99 come with an assortment of fun authentic brick sets, stickers, accessories and more.

Plans/Cost:

BrickBox Loot $13.99: Each box comes with a minifigure and accessories

BrickBox Mini $19.99: Box can be anything from a BRICK set, accessories and stickers or a set of unique minifigures.

BrickBox $29.99  This is the full size brick box and it comes with an authentic BRICK set and at least one minifigure.  There will also be a mix of stickers, notebooks and more.

This is a review of the regular BrickBox subscription.

001

The box came wrapped in brown paper, to protect the box during shipping.

002

The box itself was plain white with the BrickBox logo on top.

003

Everything was wrapped in blue tissue paper and sealed with a sticker.

Ninjago Lava Falls

Ninjago Lava Falls $7.99 My son loved this set.  When built, there are two minifigures and a drawbridge that collapses.  I was really excited that there was an authentic LEGO set in the box.

014

This is a look at the finished set, I love the fire!

016

When you pull the stick, the bridge falls.

006

LEGO Mixels Series 5 Spugg  $4.99  I haven't heard of Mixels before.  According to LEGO, this is “1 of 3 mysterious Lixers tribe members featured in LEGO® Mixelsâ„¢ Series 5 sets.”

017

This guy has a rotating head and feet, so you can pose him in some goofy ways.

007

Lego Ninjago Retractable Pen – Red $9.50  This was my son's other favorite item from the box.  This figure is a little over 8″ tall.  When you pull the head, it comes out to reveal a pen!

008

This is a look at the pen.

BrickBox Ninja

BrickBox Ninja Figure and Accessories A custom BrickBox figure was included in the box, along with some accessories.

FaBiOX

FaBiOX $2.00 This is a little display case for your mini figures.  You can stack them and they connect together.

052

L doesn't display any figures, so this turned into a cell

012

BrickBox Keychain: I think every first box comes with a personalized keychain, because I have seen them in different month's boxes.  I love the white brick with the pink lettering.  L was a bit bummed he didn't get one, but he will get the rest of this box.

004

Final Thought: This was a really fun box for my 6 year old.  I didn't get the total value, but the LEGOs, and the mini case were $25.00.  The custom BrickBox items I feel are worth at least $5.00.  This is the only brick subscription box (that I know of), that sends real LEGOs you can keep.  This was a fun box and you can check them out at this link.
