Gacha Crate Kawaii Box Review – August 2015

Gacha Crate is a subscription box that sends Gachapon Capsule toys.  While they are very common in Japan, it's hard to find them in other parts of the world.  There are two different subscription plans: Kawaii (Japanese for ‘Cute') or a Kakkoii (Japanese for ‘Cool') items.  Subscriptions are $19.00 (plus $5.00 shipping) and boxes come with 5-6 Gachapon + 1 mystery item.  Kawaii boxes contain mainly “cute” items, while Kakkoii contain mainly anime and video game items.

The Details:

Cost: $19.00/month

Shipping: $5.00/month

What's in the box?  Boxes come with 5-6 Gachapon + 1 mystery item.  Kawaii boxes contain mainly “cute” items, while Kakkoii contain mainly anime and video game items.

How do I cancel?  You can cancel through Paypal.

First Look

080

My son and I love mystery box toys, so I really had fun opening each one.

081

There were six capsule toys in all.

Information Card

There was a little information card with a list off all the mystery capsules.  They also included how many variations each series has.

Funassyi Sticker Sheet

Funassyi Sticker Sheet: Funassyi is the official mascot of funabashi, Chiba (Japan).  This card comes with stickers and some cards to cut out.

102

There was a full sheet of stickers, cards and a list of all the characters on the information sheet.

104

There was a Gacha Crate postcard also in the box.

Natsume Yujin Cho

Natsume Yujin Cho Nyanko-sensei is a ghost that usually takes the form of a cat.  We have a cat in our neighborhood that appears and disappears like a ghost, so we call him Ghost Cat.  This guy is going on my desk.

128

There are 6 different characters to collect.

Princess Puri-cure Figure

Princess Puri-cure Figure: This little mermaid princess is also a superhero.  She is so cute, she is on my keychain.

129

There are 6 different princesses you can collect.

Gudetama Stationary Item:

Gudetama Stationary Item: Gudetama is a sleepy egg that is super popular.  It's made by Sanrio, the same people behind Hello Kitty.  This is fun washi tape!

113

This is a look at the washi tape, super cute.

132

There were six different stationary items to collect.

Rilkakuma Cookie Cutter

Rilkakuma Cookie Cutter: I first found out about Rilkakuma, though snack boxes, this little guy is on several different treats.  This is a set of two little bear cookie cutters.

133

There are 9 different cookie cutters that you can collect.

Cup no Fuchiko drink marker

Cup no Fuchiko drink marker Fuchiko is a little girl that hangs on glasses and anything else.  This one is perfect for hanging on a pen or straw.

130

There are 7 different characters to collect.

148

Mystery Item:  There was a towel with little bunnies all over.  I am not sure if this is just cute fabric or a specific character, but I like it.

096

Final Thought: This was a really fun box and my son loved going through all the mystery characters.  It's hard to find mystery box characters and this is a great subscription to get some from Japan.  This may be the next subscription we get for our 6-year-old.  If you want to try Gacha Crate, use this link.
