Geek Fuel July 2015 Review

Geek Fuel July 2015 Review

Geek Fuel is a geek and gamer box that is always filled with awesome memorabilia and has a great value.  Each box is $17.90 plus shipping, and they ship worldwide.  Geek Fuel always includes a shirt with every box, and the value is always over $40.00.

The Details

Cost: Month to month $17.90, $16.90/month for a 3 month subscription, $15.90/month for a 6 month subscription and $13.90/month for a year subscription

Shipping: Geek Fuel ships to the US ($6.00 shipping fee), Canada, and many more countries!

What's in the box? Every box will pack a t-shirt, toys, collectibles and more in their monthly boxes.

Geek Fuel ships in a bright red box.  I always know right off the bat when my geek fuel box is on my doorstep.

First Look

The featured shirt this month is “Le Tour Geek”.  Five lucky winners will get a yellow jersey in their box.

The back of the information card features pictures and descriptions of everything in the box.

The Geek Fuel magazine is filled with some great articles.  My favorite article is the Ultimate Geek Gift Guide, there is a really cool Storm Trooper Adirondack Chair that I really need!
Ant Man Mini Pint Shot Glass:

Ant Man Mini Pint Shot Glass: This is a large pint glass if you are Ant Man, but a nice shot glass for humans.  I collect short glasses and my husband is a Marvel fan, so this is a great item.

Aliens vs Vampirella Poster

Aliens vs Vampirella Poster This poster is a mashup of Aliens and Vampirella, a depiction of the upcoming comic book cross over.

Burnstar Downloadable Game Code and Star Candy

Burnstar Downloadable Game Code and Star Candy $10.00 This game is a combination of solving puzzles and blowing things up.  My 6-year-old is really starting to enjoy video games.  I am going to check out this game and see if it's appropriate, and hopefully my son can play it.

Marvel #1 Issue Civil War Comic Book

Marvel #1 Issue Civil War Comic Book $4.99 This is a brand new comic and Geek Fuel gave an exclusive cover.  This is the first comic in a subscription box that was actually packaged correctly.  This even an official certificate of authenticity.

028

Le Tour Geek T -Shirt $15.00 This shirt features Harley Quin, Link, a Storm Trooper, Batman and those spiny guys from Mario.  This is a fun shirt themed from the Tour de France and my husband really likes it.

032

Firefly Button: This is the Firefly logo, which I knew thanks to other subscription boxes.  Geek Fuel said this was Mel, which I honestly have no clue who/what that is.

018

Final Thought: I couldn't get a full retail value of this box, but given the cool shirt, the exclusive, new comic, this box was worth at least the promised $40.00 value.  Overall, I thought this box was okay, but nothing really stood out.  My husband and I are not huge comic book fans, so this box really wasn't our thing.  If you want to try Geek Fuel, use this link and save $3.00 on your first box.
