021

White Peach Pottery shipped in a white box and everything was packaged really well.

023

First Look:  Bubble wrap was used to protect everything in transit.

084

A little information booklet was included with the box.  There was details about each product and there was coupon for your purchase, which can be used on monthly boxes too.

085

Inside the information booklet were details about the products in the box.

Screen Printed Cactus Mug:

Screen Printed Cactus Mug Value $30.00.  The cacti on the mug were hand drawn, then White Peach Pottery uses a process of screen printing and ceramic pigments, to transfer the image on the mug.  The mug is a nice size and the little green thumb-rest on the handle is a cute touch.  I thought there was an error in the glaze not going all the way down to the bottom of the mug, but that is intentional, to provide a “textural experience of handling the mug”.  You can microwave this and put it in the dishwasher.082

The next pottery piece was packaged in a beautiful bag.  I am seriously saving the bag for a gift.

Gold Accented Flamingo DishGold Accented Flamingo Dish value $20.00  This dish is made to hold jewelry or other small trinkets.  This piece also uses screen printing and uses a 22k gold luster after the 3rd firing.  This is a nice piece and will go in my kitchen.  There is a small fleck missing in the gold flamigo, but the piece is completely glazed and certain imperfections are expected in handmade pottery.

Screen Printed Flamingo Notebook

Screen Printed Flamingo Notebook Value $12.00:  This notebook uses the same screen print as the dish and the book is handmade.  This value seems high for this book, but it is in line with values of other similar type books I have received in subscription boxes.  While I wouldn't spend $12.00 for it, my husband loves these little books.  As soon as he saw this book, he asked for it to use for his ideas and work projects.
069Final Thought: The total value (using the information card) is $62.00. I think the value of the notebook is a bit high, so I would estimate the total value closer to $55.00.  I love handmade pottery, so this subscription really appeals to me.  If you are interested in check out White Peach Pottery's subscription, use this link and the code WPP10 to save 10% on your next order (this includes the subscription).  White Peach Pottery has some really cute things!  Also, the July box will be themed “Stars and Stripes.  Note: Anyone ordering after the 10th of the month, will get the next month's box.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that you can go ahead and stick that sucker in the microwave and dishwasher! I do with mine regularly and have never had any issues 🙂

The glaze is as I wanted it to be 🙂 On the printed mugs I sometimes leave a 1/2″ of unglazed clay to add to the textural experience of handling the mug – the smooth combined with the raw clay.

It doesn’t affect the microwaveability at all, because the piece is high fired (to 2200+ degrees) and is completely vitrified (meaning that it won’t absorb water). Pottery that has been fired to lower temperatures – like 1000+ degrees cooler) may have an issue, but anything fired to this temperature won’t. Now, if it was unglazed on the inside, where you let tea/coffee sit it could stain the piece, but on the exterior you’re fine.

That may be more than you wanted to know about pottery, but rest assured that it IS microwave safe, so go for it!

Yes, this is the June Box. I forgot to put that in my title. I am pretty sure you will get June as well, since the July boxes will be released July 1st. I will email and double check for you.
