Loot Crate June 2015 Review

Loot Crate June 2015 Review

The theme for June 2015 Loot Crate's Box is “Cyber”.  Given my husband works in the computer “cyber” field, we were hoping for a fantastic box.  Loot Crate is a geek and gamer subscription that is only $13.37/month (plus shipping).  Each box is filled with memorabilia, exclusive items, FUNKO Pop and more

The Details

Cost: 1 month plan: $13.37/mo + $6 S&H. \

          3 month plan: $12.37/mo + $6 S&H

          6 month plan: $11.67/mo + $6 S&H

Coupon:  If you want to try Loot Crate click HERE and use the coupon subscriptionboxmom to save 10%.  OR Use the code NEWS3 to save $3.00 on your subscription.

What's in the box?  Each month you get over $40.00 worth of loot curated around a geeky theme, for less than $20.00 a month.

Shipping:  Loot Crate ships to the US, Canada, Australia, and England.

When does Loot Crate ship? Loot Crates are sent out once each month, scheduled to begin shipping on the 20th unless otherwise specified. Signups are taken until 9pm PT on the 19th. If you signup after 9PM PT on the 19th, your first crate will come in the following month.

When am I charged? For one month subscriptions: You are charged at the time of signup and then the same date each month based on that signup date.* For example, if you signed up on the 28th then your renewal would be the 28th of each month.

110

Loot Crate's box was a bit different this month.

114

First Look: The box had a Terminator theme and it turns into a display stand (continue reading to see the stand),

132

The monthly magazine has an interview with Zachary Levi and an article about Mr Robot.

135

The button this month has a circuit board pattern.

Exclusive Nerd HQ Sticker Sheet (The Nerd Machine)

Exclusive Nerd HQ Sticker Sheet (The Nerd Machine): These stickers are pretty cool, I am partial to the “Viva La Nerdolution” sticker and C likes the “Nerd” sticker, below the viva sticker.

141

EXCLUSIVE Prime T-Shirt (djkopet designs) $20.00 This t-shirt is a mashup of Tron and Transformers.  The t-shirt is super soft, and perhaps the softest t-shirt we have received in a subscription box.  Loot Crate is also having a contest starting July 1st through the 20th, just recreate the pose on the shirt for a chance to win prizes.

138

Exclusive Borderlands Zer0 Game Mat by Loot Crate Labs: This mouse pad measures 10″ x 12″ and perfect for playing Borderlands.

Exclusive Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica (Chronicle Collectibles)

Exclusive Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica (Chronicle Collectibles): I think this is the coolest collectible we have received in a subscription box.  This is a 1/2 scale skull replica and is made from a vinyl mold, then shaped by hand.  It undergoes a 4 step paint and deco process, before being shipped out.

150

You can transform the box in your crate to a stand for your skull.  My husband loves this!

Exclusive Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain (Chronicle Collectibles)

Exclusive Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain (Chronicle Collectibles): This is a replica of the brain chip that goes to the new T-1000 Terminator cyborg.  Similar chips have been in the past Terminator movies, so my husband really loves this.  The chip is surprisingly heavy!

137

Future Replicant Corporate Logo Patch (A-B Emblem): $9.99 This patch is from Blade Runner.  I have never seen Blade Runner, so I am not sure what I will do with this.

130

Battlestar Galactica Cylon Target Poster Set (Quantum Mechanix) $8.95/each Two posters from Battlestar Galactica were included in the box.

144

There were two posters included in the box.  Loot Crate suggests using them for target practice with your NERF gun, but my husband wants to try them out for real target practice.

Exclusive Glow-in-the-Dark Circuit Gadget Pouch (Loot Crate Labs)

Exclusive Glow-in-the-Dark Circuit Gadget Pouch (Loot Crate Labs): This pouch is roomy and glows in the dark.  The circuit board pattern makes this great for men or women.  You can also clip this to a backpack or bag.

I know this is really dark, but I love the glow in the dark pattern and wanted to show what it looks like in the dark.

Final Thought: I didn't get many values on the items in the box, but the items I found had a retail value of $47.89.  Really, the shirt and skull were so fantastic this month, those items were worth the cost of the box by themselves.  If you want to try Loot Crate click HERE and use the coupon subscriptionboxmom to save 10%.  OR Use the code NEWS3 to save $3.00 on your subscription.
