Birchbox June 2015 Review + Coupon

Birchbox teamed up with The Tig for this month boxes. The Tig is a lifestyle blog by Meghan Markle. Birchbox is $10.00/month and they send five sample beauty and skin care products, every month. Some subscribers can now upgrade to a $30.00 box. The $30.00 box will contain 2 full size beauty or skin care products, along with the five usual products. This is my June 2015 Birchbox review.
When you sign up, you fill out a profile, so Birchbox can customize your box to your preferences. There is a regular monthly box and they also have guest editor boxes. Birchbox releases spoilers and a full reveal of the guest editor boxes, so you will know which box to choose. I actually have two Birchbox subscriptions. This is the box for my newest account.
Here is the details about the Birchbox Point System
For every 100 points you earn, you get $10.00 to spend in the shop. There are lots of ways to earn points too!
2. Review Your Products: You get 10 points for every sample review you complete. Each box contains 4-5 products, so that is around $5.00 in points you can earn monthly! This makes the box $5.00 a month. You can use this link to sign up.
3. Shop!: For every dollar you spend in the Birchbox Store, you earn 1 point for each dollar spent on full-size products in the Birchbox Shop.
4. Refer Your Friends: For every friend you refer to Birchbox, you will earn 50 points
My Birchbox arrived pretty early this month, which is always a good thing.
Instead of the random box this month, I chose the guest editor box.
First Look, on top was a card with a personalized code. You enter the code and can enter a number of different prizes. I got a 20% off a $50.00 or more order.
There was also a little note from Meghan!
The back of the information card featured everything in the box and the retail value.
A note about the Eyeko Eyeliner.: Birchbox sent out an email that it was held up in customs, to they included a replacement product.
Davines SU Hair and Body Wash $6.75 This reminds of my kids all over body wash, only it’s for adults. This has a nice floral scent and it’s designed to prevent sun damage to your hair.
Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream $1.00 I fell in love with Harvey Prince because of Birchbox. This body cream has a wonderful floral and citrus scent that moisturizes your skin without feeling greasy.
Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow $4.05 I wasn’t sure if I really liked this BB cream at first, but the color really blends into your natural skin tone. I am very pale and this still worked for me.
Real Chemistry Luminous 3 Minutes Peel $4.80 I received this last month, but I loved it so much, I was happy to get it again. This exfoliates your skin for a brighter complexion.
Oribe Cote d’Azure Eau de Parfum $2.00 This perfume is made to be reminiscent of the French Riviera. This has a musky floral scent that is quite pleasant.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $18.60 and it was a great box. The only item i was unsure of was the BB cream, but I was pleased to find out I could use it. The 3 minute peel and the Harvey Prince lotion were my favorite items in the box. If you want to subscribe to Birchbox, you can get 100 Bonus Points when you use the code BBJETBLUE10. Or you can get the special “Ready, Set, Summer†box, inspired by Meghan Markle’s lifestyle site, The Tig. It’s filled with must-try brands like Oribe, Davines, and more.
