My Pretend Place is a subscription box for children 3-8, that encourages pretend, dress-up, learning and imagination. My Pretend Place‘s mission is to get children crafting, dressing up, pretending and using their imaginations! There are two boxes, a dress up box and a DIY Projects Subscription box. I reviewed the May Dress Up Box, and it was all about Superheros. My sons loved it. I was sent some special bonus materials for June. Every three months, you get a big box of goodies and the two off months, you get free bonus materials. The Dress Up box is $50.00 every 3 month (quarterly) and comes in boy, girl or gender neutral. This box is for children 3-6. Each box will contain dress-up costumes, activities or crafts, and other pretend play inspiration.
On the months that you don’t receive a dress up box, you will be emailed (or mailed) some bonus material. To get a good idea of the complete three-month process, you can read my three reviews here (Month 1, Month 2, Month 3). This is my second My Pretend Place Dress Up Box review.
Everything came in a white envelope.
There was a letter addressed to your Superhero from Commissioner Sinclair. To further your superhero’s training, the commissioner sent an obstacle course to practice on and a sticker sheet for some added fun.
Superhero Sticker Activity: There was a superhero scene that your child could decorate with stickers. The stickers were a bit tricky to peel off without tearing,
L did have fun with the sticker sheet and it kept him busy so while I cooked dinner.
This is the finished scene.
Obstacle Course: There were several sheets about an obstacle course you can set up for your child. It has been rainy here, so we haven’t had time to do this yet, but it looks fun and perfect to go with the superhero theme.
Final Thought: This was a fun little month of surprises. I loved the May 2015 My Pretend Place Box and I thought it was well worth the $50.00. The bonus materials for June were just that, a bonus! This is a great subscription that’s fun for kids. If you want to subscribe, save 30% on your first box when you use the coupon pretend (That’s $15.00).
