Awesome Pack May 2015 Review

Awesome Pack May 2015 Review

Awesome Pack is a subscription box that sends fun for the whole family.  There are two different subscription boxes, a Family box and a Big Kid box.  Each box is filled with at least a board game, along with other fun activities and toys specifically picked for your family.

The Awesome Family Pack is made for families with children 15 years old and younger.  The box is filled with a family board game and activities for the whole family to do together, along with other great items.  The Big Kid Mode is for adults only or children 12 years old and older.  The Big Kid boxes are filled with a “higher quality” game, an activity and other extras.

Each box will contain items from the following categories:

  • Awesomely Unique Board Games: These are games the whole family can play and enjoy.
  • Hands on Fun: Each box includes an activity your whole family can do together.  This activity will be fun and educational.
  • Big Fun from Little things: Boxes includes small activities like books and puzzles that will be fun for kids.
  • Awesome Activity Book and Goodies: A special activity book will be in every box.  Each activity book will have pages to journal your family activities along with fun stuff for the whole family.

When you sign up, you fill out a detailed questionnaire about what games your family has, your family composition, likes, dislikes and more.  You can even make special requests and they have a referral program.  I was excited when Awesome Pack sent me a Family Pack for review.

Every month, Awesome Pack sends a book filled with games, crafts, bonding activities, and other fun stuff.  This month there was a recipe to make your own Play Dough.

149

These are the family journal pages for you to document all the fun activities and memories you make this month.

136

Detective Science Finger Print Kit $9.10  This kit contains everything your child needs to lift and inspect fingerprints.  L loves playing spy, so I know this will be a fun activity for him.

133

X Kites Inflatable Kites $6.50 each I did a rough average of Amazon prices, since the individual prices varied greatly.  We were sent a Jake and the Neverland Pirates kite and a Transformers kits.   My youngest likes Jake and my oldest is obsessed with Transformers.  Since both of my kids love playing outside, these were a great selection for the box.

142

Bubble Guppies Lotto Game $26.40  I believe this game was made for Canadians, as I only saw one US site selling it.  Our family doesn't watch Bubble Guppies (we are a Disney Family), but this looks fun, especially for my 3-year-old.  To play, your child matches the cards with the pictures, as they advance, they can match cards with just the silhouettes.

143

Turtle Water Squirters $3.00 est value  Many summer water squirters are made for older kids and hard for little kids, these are perfect for everyone.  My kids will have fun with these this summer.

147

Disney / Pixar Cars 2 Race Team Mater – Mcqueen 24 Piece Puzzle $8.75  Both of my kids love puzzles, so this will be played with for sure.  I personally don't enjoy puzzles but they are great for building problem solving, hand eye coordination and spacial relations skills.

145

Crayola Modeling Clay 4 Pack $6.60  My kids are obsessed with PlayDoh, so this is a great inclusion in the box.  Modeling Clay is similar to PlayDoh, but much tougher and you can make more intricate designs with it.

132

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $69.85.  I thought it was a fun box and my family will like everything in the box.  I will likely save many of the items for Christmas/Birthday presents, other than the summer toys.  I like that you can get boxes customized to your family's preferences,  You can also get the Big Kid box for families with teens or no children at all.  You can check out Awesome Pack HERE.
