Nerd Block Jr April 2015 Review - Boy

Nerd Block Jr April 2015 Review – Boy

I saw some spoilers for the April 2015 Nerd Block Jr, and I was excited to see the Sonic item for this month's box.  Nerd Block Jr is a great subscription box filled with toys and collectibles for kids 6-11.  Boxes are $13.99/month plus shipping.  There are girl and boy boxes, but you can pick which box you want for your child.

The Details:

Cost: $13.99 plus $6.00 shipping

Coupon: To subscribe to Nerd Block Jr, click HERE and use the code SUPERHERO to save 10%.

What's in the box: Nerd Block Jr. is filled with toys, games, and collectibles from your kids favorite brands including Star Wars, Disney, Adventure Time, My Little Pony, Angry Birds, and many more!

When am I charged? Initially, you will be charged for your first Block at the time you register for your subscription. Then, you will be billed at the beginning of every month for that month’s subscription (January block is billed on 1 January). The monthly billing closes on the 8th of the month.
For example, if you subscribe on January 10th, that payment will be applied to February Block (remember, the closing date for January was the 8th). Your next billing will occur on March 1st for the March Block.

If you subscribe prior to the closing date for that month’s Block (you subscribe on January 7th or prior) you will be billed immediately for January’s Block and your next payment will occur February 1st for February’s Block.

The closing date can be found on the homepage (hint: it’s the countdown timer).

When does it ship?  Nerd Block Jr. is sent out at the same time as Nerd Block – approximately the 15th of every month, give or take a day. Once your Nerd Block Jr. is shipped, you'll receive an email notifying you of your tracking information!

How do I cancel? Cancelling a subscription is easy! Just email [email protected] with your name and address, and they will cancel your account. Please note that all orders must be cancelled 24-hours prior to the 1st of every month.

The boy Nerd Block Jr boxes ship in a cool blue box.

045

Monsternauts Kyle: $12.95  Monsternauts are a series of Monster plush animals from Canada.  Each monster has a little story/phrase that describes them.  The tag says “Kyle has remarkable computational abilities and is a bit of a hypochondriac.”  He is a cute little guy and my son likes him.

039

Crashlings:  $3.98  These were my son's favorite toys from the box.  There are four alien dinos in asteroids.  There are also little poppers, that launch the meteors up to 4 feet high.  These are similar to TrashPack, which is one of my son's favorite toys.

049

This is the set of Crashlings figures we received.  All of the figures are rated common, rare, ultra rare or special edition.  We received a ultra rare and some commons.  These were so much fun and my son has been playing with them all day.

040

Official Sonic the Hedgehog Collector's Edition Bouncy Ball $11.99 Both Nerd Block Jr girl and boy boxes received this ball.  My son doesn't know who Sonic is, but he really likes the ball.

043

Marvel Heroclix Thor The Dark World 001 Thor Figure with Card $6.49  This is a Marvel figure and a game piece.  My son is 5 1/2 and hasn't seen Thor, so he doesn't know all the characters.  I am actually pretty clueless when it comes to this game.  I will also note, the age recommendation on this package says 14 years and up.  Since Nerd Block Jr is made for 6-11 years, I don't think this was an appropriate toy for this box.

PicMonkey Collage

We received ODIN, along with a playing card.  Again, I have not idea what you do with this.  My son thought it would work with his Disney Infinity, but I told him that wasn't the case.  If you know what this is for, please comment below!

030

Adventure Time Mad Libs: $3.99 I remember Mad Libs as a child and they are really fun.  My son is almost 6, but he doesn't know what an adjective is yet.  This is fun for older kids, but I think younger kids could need some help.

037

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $39.40.  This was a pretty good box.  My son loved the ball and the Crashlings,  The Thor game piece and the mad libs weren't really a hit with my son, but they would be great for older kids.   If you want to try Nerd Block Jr, click here and click HERE and use the code SUPERHERO to save 10%.

It looks like Heroclix is not a video game but more of a collector’s game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeroClix
