Sunshine Candy shipped in a bright colorful box.

First Look:  There was tissue paper wrapping everything up, and an information card taped to the lid of the box.

009

Second Look: There were four bags of candy!

050

Salt Water Taffy: 7.5 oz  My husband loves salt water taffy,  My husband thought the candy was pretty fresh and there were many different flavors in the bag.

049

Peach Gummie Rings: 11.7 oz  I had never had peach gummie rings before.  These were really fresh and tasted great.  My kids really loved these too.

051

Lemonheads 7.4 oz  I love lemonheads, they really hit your sweet tooth and last a long time.  These were fresh and there was a pretty big bag of them.

053

Tootsie Rolls Midgees: 9.5 oz  I am not a fan to Tootsie rolls, I actually really dislike them.  My kids love these things though, and will do chores to get them.  All in all, it's a win for me, with this big bag, who knows what chores will be done.

Final Thought: There were four nice size bags in the box and there was a snack that everyone in my family would like.  I do think the $29.95 price is a bit expensive, especially since tootsie rolls are pretty inexpensive.  I like the idea behind a candy subscription.  Since this is their first box, I want to see a few more boxes, to see the variety of products in the box.  You can try Sunshine Candy and get $5.00 off your first box with the code SBM5.

The peach rings you can find at gas stations under the area with the value bags most of the time (2/$1 or 2/$2 for bigger bags). Tootsie rolls are also very cheap as you mentioned. The lemonheads you can find (again) in value areas, as with the saltwater taffy too. Can’t say I’d be inclined to even try this one given the type of candy – I estimated that I would spend $10 at the MOST to get these locally. Thank you for the review – it saved me some effort of researching this one! =D

It always hope, my reviews can help people decide if a box is right for them.

Thanks for this. I like the look of the box and I actually think it’s great that someone takes the time to pick these out. It obviously isn’t about the cost of the individual candies but about the delight factor of something new every month that is familiar and comforting. Its exactly what I would love to have at my desk at work! Can’t wait to try it and thanks for the offer code.
